I hope the definition of geodetic latitude is slightly different what u explained sir... It could be The latitude of a point is the angle between the Equatorial plane and the NORMAL VERTICAL passing through that point. It is not measured from centre of the earth. It is measured with the equatorial plane. Normal vertical is the line which is always perpendicular to the Spheroid. Geocentric latitute is an angle at the center of the Earth between the equatorial plane and a line to a given point on the Earth's surface. I hope u have explained about geocentric latitude not geodetic latitude. Plz correct me if i am wrong
My intention was to make a quick explanation in 60 sec, I could not. Now there can be difference between Normal Vertical and Local Vertical and the angle of deflection are normally not taught to an offshore surveyor. But for a person doing Geodetic survey, then this becomes very important. I hope you will understand that I am trying to find a comfortable bridge without complicating things too much. Then I have a make a long video. I did try in couple of occasion and none sticks till the end :( And Yes you are absolutely right.
