Great video! I love my 550s. Bought them initially to wear to and from my occasional construction site visits before slipping off and into full safety boots, but find them so comfy they're pretty much my daily boot. Found them true to size (UK8). Added some of the fleecy sheepskin in-soles and am now even more super toasty and comfy!

Thanks @adambell6177 - I've seen the fur liners and I want to try them out!

If I'm correct Blundstones are mostly made in Indonesia and were bought out by a conglomerate a while ago.

According to Blundstone, they're currently making boots in Vietnam, Thailand, India, China and Mexico. The company still based in Tasmania and is owned by The Cuthbertson family who bought it in 1932.

I had Rocky and Dunham boots, that the soles crumbled and fell off. The Rocky boots were still in the box.

How does this Blunstone leather compare to Redback kip leather?

I just bought a pair. They hurt above the ankle area- at the top of the boots. It hurts on the sides in the above the ankle area @ the top of the boot where the elastic is located, and on the back of my leg @ the top of the back of the boot- where the back pull tab is located. It left a bruise on both legs. Only had them for 2 weeks - worn them 5 days. I've tried thicker and taller socks. Will the leather loosen up to stop this from occurring? I love how comfortable they are on my feet, but the pain above the ankle is killing me. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you for the thorough review!

Thanks for sharing your experience! That sounds really annoying. Sorry to hear about the pain with your new boots - no one wants bruised legs!
I've heard of that kind of complaint with Dr. Martens, but not so much with Blundstones!
I have heard of some people having luck adding pads that people wear with ski boots. Adding some extra padding in the troublesome spots might help. amzn.to/3Hh2Pb2
Hope your boots become more comfy soon! Let us know if you figure out any good tricks! So frustrating!

Give it a month. Can also get some mink oil and slather it on until the leather won't absord anymore (I just got some cheap stuff). Really helped mine. Mine were awesome around six months wearing every other day or so. 18 months in and I love em.

What would be the difference between the Blunstone leather and Redback kip?

Two pairs of ausie brand of boots (not Blundstones)with TPU soles fell apart after 1 1/2 Years of daily use .the soles totally failed .turned to crumbly jelly.

Interesting. I know that TPU soles can degrade after being left in a very humid environment for several years, but I've never heard of them degrading with daily use. Did they come in contact with any chemicals?
