- How To Know What Settings You Need For The Minelab Equinox. I demonstrate a very simple process that I use to help me decide what settings I need for the ground I am metal detecting. I use the Minelab Equinox 800 in this demonstration but this method will work for all of the Equinox series and other detectors as well. Be sure to subscribe for more Minelab Equinox tutorials and metal detecting tips and adventures.

Thank you young fellow, I by the grace of God have a lot of free time to detect with my new mine lab 900 hopefully. Lol 👍✝️✌️
My friend why are all the other pod casts saying that to separate the iron from the silver targets you have to decrease the number ? Please respond. Thank you
@@william1863 what do you mean decrease the number
Might be the best video explanation I have seen for the nox thank you

Great videos. Is there any truth to when ground balancing with ml 800 the cleaner the top soil the lower the number 0-10. I use to get low numbers in clean black soil but lately 40 50 60 is where it seems to ground balance. And yes, I have cleaned under my head cover.
You will have better luck if you raise the sensitivity first, then noise cancel, then set the sensitivity down to where it is stable. If you do this, you will find that you can hunt with the sensitivity a lot higher. if you ground balance do the opposite set the sensitivity down pretty low and then ground balance after that, you can set the detector sensitivity, so it will hunt stable
Got to like having a few adjustments on a detector to help short through the iron and trash.. Thanks for sharing.. Happy Hunting

Thanks for info based on fact and not opinion and here say. So simple, lots iron in ground up the recovery to allow faster signals between ferrous iron and and non ferrous good targets. Now if I can just remember !! lol
Yes but don't go overboard. Make 1 increment adjustments.
Would be good to know Larry’s thoughts on iron bias in this video but on the whole really useful 👍
Thanks for the tutorial, Larry. This will be really helpful.

Hola amigo le agradezco mucho sus consejos, saludos cordiales desde chile 🙋♂️🇨🇱👍🤝⛏️🗝️💍
Thanks for some great videos!! I'm detecting on pasture fields for the first time at the weekend, I'm still learning and have the Equinox 700. What settings would you recommend, please?
It depends on the ground conditions and how much iron is at the site.

Great information. Like the shirt
Thank you 😊
I have a minelab 700 and looking to update my stock coil . Undecided between the minelab 6" or the Coiltek 10x5 what are your thoughts if you don't mind. Thank You
@davidhunn5926 I know there are many who use and like coiltek but I prefer to use minelab coils personally.
You can contact Dan at outlawmetaldetectors.com and he will give you some pros and cons of each.
@@SodBustersMetalDetecting hey I really appreciate you getting back to me with that info! Thanks again!
where did you get your shirt love it
Minelab
Larry. I'm looking for a friend's wedding ring in a high coin area at the were i camp. Can you help me with the best settings for now to eliminate the everything except for her wedding ring
I don't know ow what he ring is made of if it was recently dropped lower your sensitivity so you don't here the deeper targets and listen for surface finds
Where did you get the shirt bro.
From minelab, they were employee shirts.
nice! what happened to the live streams??
Trying to get going again, just been extremely busy
Ive also noticed that your phone and electronics being close can cause alot of chatter as well!
Yes
How do I get a hat like that? Thanks
They are only available to minelab detexperts.
I'm a detexpert! I want one too
@@SodBustersMetalDetecting I have the Nox 900 and filled out their application. Been digging Civil War relics, old coins, and all sorts of metals including trash for 37 years. I don't consider myself an expert, but damn proficient with metal detectors, and I've used MANY in my time. Good luck hunting.
Sorry but your defently missing targets at that sensivity. Try the beach 1 setting. Sensivity 25 no lower than 22, noice cancel, GB 0, thershold 4, 50 tones, recovery speed 4 or 5 try both T1 1, T2 25, pt 1 p2 25 , F2 0, thank me later
Swing speed? With 6" coil?
Seems like the sniper coil makes iron false quite a bit
Iron bias, ground balance….?
If you prefer but not a necessity
Sorry i hate typing
