Is that 180 days each year for 5 years, or is it good for 5 years but only one 180 days stay in this 5 year time frame, plus one extension of another 180 days, if one desires?
My understanding is that you get 180 days when you enter. Everytime you enter you get that clock reset. But you can only use 180 days per year. And the window for this is clock-reset possibility is 5 years
Hi Morgan, i am also excited! I am employed by an IT Company in Europe & pay taxes in my homecountry. Will Thailand ask me to declare or pay Tax if i stay longer then 180 days within a calender year using the DTV working remotely? As i understand the 180 days can be extended with another 180 days.
Yes, but more importantly, you need to understand your work permit if you will stay longer. Different countries have different rules when it comes to remote work and taxes. We will cover this in our new community www.mooserider.com which launches in about 2 weeks
@@MorganNilsen would be great if you can renew over and over and over. Don't mind flying out of country for couple days and coming back in every 6 months.
Do you think it will be necessary to deposit 500 thousand baht into a Thai account, or will it be sufficient to show this money in an account in your country?
The message from the officials is that you only have to prove you have 500k (or same value in different currency) or more in a bank account. Needs to be money. Can’t be shares or real estate etc
For Indians 60 days visa is free and that can be extended for next 30 days. Can i apply for this particular visa in those 60 or 90 days or i have to exit from Thailand and then apply?
Thailand's new Digital Nomad Visa is an exciting opportunity for remote workers to experience long-term living in an incredible destination! 🌴 With its perks and flexibility, it’s a great option for digital nomads looking to enjoy Southeast Asia while working remotely. 🌏
Thanks for sharing, looking forward to updates! :) I just got enabled for 100% remote work by my company in my home country and I'd like to live in Thailand. :) Hej fra Danmark!
There seems to be a lot of debate. Most people are saying that you are only allowed to stay 180 all up over the give year period with 180 day extension. 360 days in total in five years.
@@honsemor It's not just 10000 though is it. You need 500k in your bank. You obviously know nothing about the visas. best not to be giving it the large, when you don't even know the rules about the visas.
@@paulikens6443 I know nothing about Visa but yet I already have the DTV visa, good point! Its 500K Baht not USD, if you cant come up with that money I repeat myself, just stay at home.

Yeah! Can’t wait to announce it 🔥🔥🔥

The extension must be done at an official visa office
when are they planning on allowing people to sign up to the DTV visa? any news on that?
The rumours are that it will be available in September but it’s unconfirmed
@@MorganNilsen Thanks for the reply
When this visa will be vailable ?
It’s already available ❤️
Camera and Lens used for this video?
I use a Sony A7siii camera with a Sony f/1.4 50mm lens
@@MorganNilsen awesome! Thanks for the reply
question : after 180 days how long want to live other country ? or just visa run?
I’m not exactly sure what you mean here. Can you try to ask again but a bit differently?
Can stay in Thailand with a Nomad visa for 180 days. After? Visa runs and can start again or want to be a different visa?
Maybe do 180days then border run then you get 60 days, extend by.. 30 or 60 days(new rules?) less border runs?
500 k is for 5 years requirement or for six months? 🤩
You need to demonstrate that you have 500,000b in your account when you apply. And everytime you renew

Still pending ? Can apply now ?

Finally more days you can enjoy authentic pad thai
Yeah! And Massaman Curry!
And mangos with sticky rice!
That was very good news 👍
Yeah it’s so cool! Have you been to Thailand?
Happy Birthday buddy!! You rock!!!

That is would make no sense. That would be less than what’s already possible. I will continue to research this and find out.
@@MorganNilsen Yes. I came to that same conclusion myself...😁
Can we go and search for a job
This new visa is not including a work permit. If you wish to work for a Thai business you must get a different smart visa
@@MorganNilsen hey thanks for replying. But this 60 days free visa is implemented for Indian passport holders or not yet
I don't see the DTV on the official website
It’s not officially out yet. It will be launched and ready in a couple of months most likely
Wow great visa news !!
p.s.
Safety Wings refuse to pay for my surgery in Thailand. Do not recommend this insurance.
What not?
Only good if you have money as always with most visas in Thailand.
if you cant afford 10 000 baht for a long term visa stay at home

Elite visa $25k for 5 years no refunds.😂
$400 per month. You will for sure save that on cost of living. Just the rent is enough to cover that
Nice visa to go with your 30% worldwide tax
