Great to see someone innovating on the idea of spring espresso machines. It’s kind of full circle to where it all started, but new at the same time. Exciting!
This really appeals to me for several reasons. I am the only one in the house that drinks coffee and always black unsweetened so a machine with a milk steamer is a wasted investment. I have a grinder capable of espresso grind finest and finer but have never made espresso so I would use pressure basket when making my morning brew at 3am and I would have the naked portafilter that's an additional purchase for times when I can practice dialling in my brew process. Also being mechanical it makes little to no noise so at 4 am I can make a double shot without it waking the rest of the house.
I also like the idea of experimenting with other liquid rather than just hot water. I love cold brew coffee so a double espresso of chilled water would be an interesting experience.
You don't need so much pressure, because the pressure basket. I have this machine already 4 months. Work easy even with pre ground coffee. But of course it's not same quality like from flair or ect.. Anyway very good coffe and simple preparation.
Hiya, we have developed a new portafilter system, using our TM Smartshot technology, that provides significantly improved pressure in the extraction chamber, giving you improved extraction, crema and pressure during your brewing.
What are you on about? Rok's original lever machine which this is based off hit the market in 2004, 14 years before the robot. Both clearly took visual inspiration from the faema baby, but the Rok didn't borrow the combined basket and brew chamber design like the robot did. The robot is literally a modernised Faema baby, the Rok just has a similar visual design. (proud robot owner here BTW)

So a spring lever machine and a pressurized basket?
The spring lever is a nice approach, not so sure about the pressurized basket though.
Ohh, now that's fancy. A combination of spring lever with the compact robot format, don't think I've seen that before.

Very interesting! What kinda pressures are you aiming at? Do you want to mimic the classic spring lever machine in how the pressure profile is?
I'm down for any form of lever espresso machine, but I'm not yet sold on the beer part... 😅
That's pretty sick!
Looks amazing. Just hope the bayonet ring that holds the portafilter is stronger then the one in the original. Have broken too many to count!
So far so good!

Relieved to hear it is not just me having this issue. The last one broke within a day and on the 6th coffee made with it.
🙄I'm new about espresso coffee, but from what i known espresso coffee have 18-22% of coffee extraction. Any prove for this machine?
Looks great. When will it be available?
Heya, they are available now! You can find the link to our web-store on our channel about section :)
Sounds quite interesting, I would love to know a bit more about why you won’t be required to tamp with this method!

That's EVOLUATION OF ROK ESPRESSO
Wow, a very cool idea.
Can’t wait to get it
First time seeing espresso brewed with coke!
Excited 🎉
sus
You invented a modified Robot completely from scratch? That's nice. And your smart basket makes it unnecessary to dial in? Yeah right.
Apparently yes 🤷♂️
