Hi Ewejin, thanks for this. I got a Tune Up kit for my GCP before I received it. Brass shower plate, Precision shower screen and Silicone gasket. Once I got it I saw a video of a guy cutting three turns off the OPV spring to 9 bars. Next I bought a bottomless portafilter on Ebay from The Espresso Store. Shipped to me here in Costa Rica from Milan Italy for $45 total cost. I was happy with the machine but I was getting frustrated with tempereture surfing. I boght an Auber PID, Shades of Coffee Top Box, Flow Control and Preasure Guage. We added a second SSR for steam control. Very happy with the mods and I finally feel in control of my machine. When we tested the preasure it was almost exactly nine bars at full pump power. Cutting off three turns from the OPV spring was spot on!
I mostly like the scales' mod! I got one recently and I'm so happy with it. I've got a grinder coming. I'm not that technical (lack-of-confidence) and I like these videos.
Mr. Ewejin Tee, Could you please share a video or picture of the bypassing Eco Timer mode and the wiring diagram for the Gaggia with the one already installed PID controller? Thanks in advance.
Awesome Mr. Ewejintee! Your explanation was very clear and easy to understand. Thanks for taking the time to help me. I just need to remove the power switch spring and connect it to a smart Wi-Fi switch for more convenience
@@niegland Hi, I'm located in Malaysia. And I usually use fresh milk (non low fat). The local brand here is called 'Farm Fresh'. There are a couple of milk types out there and you have to choose those with fat content in order to make beautiful latte art 😋
Are these still having the issue with the “Boilergate” flakes ppl were complaining about 3-5 months ago after a month or 2 of owning the machine? I’m new to espresso machines and I was gonna pay when I came across those videos :(
I bought two days ago a new machine and it had just for the first two steamings some dark super small flakes coming out of the steam wand. now its cleanest water and all fine, its just washing the boiler I think. no more flakes, tasty espresso all fine.
I cannot advice further. You'll have to study the wiring inside the Machine. I think the PID works with many devices, as long as you find the right wire and temperature probe fixtures. Good luck!
That's the plan, but it seems a little bit too technical for me and I need a longer time to research and study it. It's on my list for the next major upgrade but currently, I don't have the time to really dive into it. I am already in the Gagguino Discord and Groups and all but it's just too much information for me right now :D
@@jeremyhighhouse6903 There is just so many guides and methods to get a complete Gagguino upgrade and it's currently too much information out there. I just need to study all of them and pick the one that I feel comfortable executing it. Unlike the PID mod, it's pretty straightforward. :P Do you have a guide that is easy to follow? Send me please!
@@EweJinTee 1. Figure out what model GCP you have 2. Order the DIY EFI kit. It has everything ready to go. No soldering or programming. 3. Make the high voltage wiring harness. 4. Put it back together and enjoy an extremely capable espresso robot 🤖
Just save your money for a better machine. This way you don't void a warranty or burn down your house. Makes no sense send $500 then another $500 for no warranty. Save your money buy one machine that has all the features that you want/need. Then you can spend your money on quality coffee.

Gaggiuino is the only update you need. Full stop
I recommend switching the drip tray for a low profile one to avoid having to remove it to insert the scale. I got mine for super cheap at Amazon.
@@tomg9941 Good call! I actually saw a few printable files that you can send for 3D printing too!
ohh that's great advice. Thank you!
Gaggiuino with next gen-Next Monday for the current ultimate Gaggia mod
is it normal for Gaggia to have random leakage like in your video or is it because you modded it?
I didn't have any leaking issues before modding it. It was just an upgrade to enhance the consistency in coffee making 😀

Hi. Thanks for your comment. Let me do a RUclips Shorts. I think it's easier that way without needing to edit a whole lot of video footages :)
@@EweJinTee I appreciate that and lots of thanks

What brand of milk are you using?

Saw some 9 bar opv mod by just replaceing spring. Do you think it would achieve same result as valve ?
Yes it's the same! :)

Mine is the Gaggia Classic Pro 2019 version. I read articles on the 'Boilergate' issue and it affects the latest 2023 - 2024 Gaggia Evo Pro Models.

Where to buy switch? No link 😂
Hi, that modification is done to your existing Gaggia switch. Thanks!

It's something you just gotta do, and really isn't that hard. It really makes it into a whole new machine.

Honestly I'd probably sell this modded machine, find a good deal on a classic, and do the gaggiuino mod on that.

No.
Its makes a perfectly fine espresso stock and has a small foot print.
@tonesmith909 yes it does the job well.
Just stock.
