    The most honorable thing I ever did as a marine was funeral detail. As a marine it was a struggle to keep it together while folding that flag. Rest easy brother, we got the watch from here.

      @Banks Wooten even tho you didn’t know the person you still had the bond of wearing the same uniform so therefore you were family. The worst one I did was for a World War II marine. No family or friends showed up. Was just myself, a Sgt and the funeral director. That one hit in the feels

      As a army ranger it hurts to see my brothers die. I’m lucky to have come back home to a loving wife. Some don’t get that privilege. I don’t know this marine, but I salute and honor you. God bless America🇺🇸

      I wouldn't care, accidents happen. I'd feel distracted, maybe a little uneasy but never mad at the person whose phone went off. The comment section was being violent for no reason, so yes -- they are dramatic AF.

    The least I could do to respect this Marine was too stand up and watch the whole video standing up.
    This Marine went from being in the greatest country to being in the greatest Kingdom the Kingdom Of God.

    I can’t imagine how hard it was for that family losing someone so close and so brave. I also can’t imagine how the soldier was able to keep it together while looking that women in the eyes knowing what she just lost, can’t imagine how hard it was for him too. Thank you for those who serve.

      It is hard... my grandfather passed 3 weeks ago, and he was a 30 year Marine. His last words to me, "I know it's coming, I'm not scared though."
      And I said to him, "Once a Marine, always a Marine." And we saluted each other, he passed that next day.
      It is tough, but he is no longer in pain. OORAH!

      Im not a marine but served in the Army reserve & can understand all too well you not looking kindly on your service. Wth my first unit i was highly motivated & when my tenure came to an end with my second unit i left highly unmotivated & i will leave it at that. I dont know your situation in the negative but im certain we can agree with too much politics, close knit groups is just the iceberg when All who serve Should be treated equal.
      Just know many veterans share your unkind memories.

    The sheer pain and suffering it takes to become a marine is worthy of this alone, but to die serving under said name while defending the land is the greatest honor one can ever achieve. My respect goes to any marine to ever serve.

    I lost alot of friends at a nursing home. But when I stand at the tombstone I salute them and say thank you for fighting for us. Now you can rest in peace.

      I only worked in a elderly home for 7 months but in that time i lost 3 friends, all of them felt like grandmas too me, too of them I only knew for a few days but the third one I knew for quite a few months, she was paralyzed due to I believe arthritis, she would scream in pain if I tried to trim her nail or clean her palms, towards the end she didn’t wanna eat and it was difficult for the family due to corona and the whole pAndemic, only a few were allowed in at the time.she passed away an hour into my shift that day, almost as if she was waiting to say goodbye

    I went to a military funeral every week in the summer of 1968. My friends went.off to Vietnam and this is how they returned. I am thankful to the soldiers living and deceased for.helping to keep my family safe. God bless you all.

    Funeral Detail was the most fulfilling duty I ever became a part of for a fallen brother or sister in Uniform. I was honored to have performed these duties for the US Army for a few months.     This video depicts almost exactly what I experienced yesterday as I attended the burial of a friend who had served in the Marines. The respect and reverence shown by these two Marines sends shivers down my spine. To have had the driveler of experiencing this firsthand yesterday was life changing.     My grandpa died a few days ago and had his funeral like this, seeing my grandma get handed a folded flag crushed me. Semper Fi.

      I was 13 when my grandpa died. We were inseparable. His flag was handed to me, as I was sitting next to my grandma and that's what he had wanted and my grandma agreed long before he passed away. That was the first time I ever felt my heart truly break. Now, whenever I attend or see a military funeral, I think of that moment.
      Sorry you lost your Grandpa. ❤️

    My grandfathers passed last year and he was in the navy and was cremated so they folded the American Flag beautifully it made me cry and gave it to my dad. Thank you everyone that has served and is serving ❤🙏🏻

      @@trashyv4s628 he is not in the field, he helps with consulting and some other stuff he wouldn’t talk about, after the marines he wanted to stay and help somewhere overseas without having to see his best friends die in front of him. He doesn’t talk about it to much when he is home so there is a confidential part to his job obviously but location isn’t
