I know you probably won’t see this now, but I wanted to say it in case. I don’t usually comment but I felt I needed to. I’m 27 and went through a really horrible time in my life in the past 2 years. Your videos literally helped me get through it. Your videos were an escape and brought me peace when I had none in my everyday life. Gemma dust your hands 1st with the flour & remove from bowl with oil sprayed/coated spatula. When you score your design, you need to go deeper with the blade- like a good 1/2" for it to show on final baked product with that dough consistency. More firmer dough can do 1/4" score. Using a clean sharp razor blade to score is best. Your bread turned out LOVELY though & looked DELICIOUS! Just wanted to give you those tips for design scoring & taking bread out of the bowl/shaping etc. You did wonderful for being new to bread making. I love your recipe selections shared in general. It's ironic because just the other day my 30 yr old daughter commented how she missed my making breads & the smell of them baking upon coming home from school in her youth. I eventually got a bread machine to make it even easier by the time I had 3 children. I would love to do rustic sour dough loaves though & make a starter when I retire as another hobby, using discard for waffles or pizza crusts etc. Congrats on the new family member! Noah will have so much fun having a little brother within a couple years apart in age. Prayers for a smooth sailing pregnancy & delivery. 2 under 2, you've got this! And Jamie is such a great dad too. Like Noah, the new baby will be blessed landing in such a wonderful nest with a great mum & dad (& big brother).

Allow yourself to have a flat moment..always acknowledge it and say this to shall pass. Get yourself in nature to ground yourself and refresh..winter is still and it can feel dead but it's a time to go inward and connect with your own stillness.
Love your bath ideas for an update. I like the idea of switching shower and sink area. It will give a totally new feel when you enter the room. Either black or gold fixtures maybe black ! Go for it enjoy !

We have just gone from a wet room to having a shower cubicle and bath. Found with a wet room there was so much moisture and it was hard to dry the bathroom after a shower and was forever battling mould! Something to think about as wouldn’t want you struggling with that.

I think that bread was a good effort Gem, looked delish and I can't wait for the bathroom renovation. The only thing with gold is it's a trend right now and who knows how long it will be before it gets outdated where as with black its timeless, well i think anyway of course it's your choice. Black & creamy/beige is my fav combo for the more clean looking neutral tones as I know you like also. Lovely relaxing video. Just a note of caution with the black hardware if you live in a hard water area. I have black and it looks great but I'm forever having to be on limescale watch and it is difficult to get rid of without spoiling the finish on the taps. Might be a non issue if you have softer water xxx

Just leave it to cool down so it wont be sticky inside, and you can bake it for 10 min without the lid so it could get that golden colour

Great video Gemma! Glowing mamma ✨🌻 to cook jacket potatos quicker wash stab with fork put in microwave for 10 mins larger potatoes 15mins then cover oil air fryer 10 mins to crisp up hope this saves you time x

The bread looks lovely. Well done!! I have found in the past though that cutting the bread before it’s completely cooled down can make it a bit “gluey” and feel a bit undercooked (even though it’s not). Enjoy many more delicious bakes in the future 🍞

Hi Gemma I love making bread I usually put a bit of olive oil on my hand and the dough of bread won't sick to your hand. The dough should. Sound hollow on the base when it's done
Just wanted to say, you look so great! Beautiful, healthy happy momma. My sis just had her 4th, she said sadly she got more negative comments about her body, number of kiddos, negative comments about parenting being so terrible, and horrific birth stories all thrown her way. We both wonder why everyone feels like they have a right to tell you their opinions on pregnancy. I just wanted to say some encouragement and try to start correcting that negativity around pregnancy and birth. You seriously look so happy and healthy, such a beautiful family and home.
