Love to see stuff like this, one of the best trailers in a long time! Also, bonus points for including one of my favorite features in GW2: our fully voiced player characters!
This is the best game I've ever played, with over 7,000 hours logged. Although I don’t play as much as I used to, I wish I could recapture the feeling I had when I first discovered it. Nothing else will ever compare.
A trick I learned in a video and one I've done for years to refreshen the experience, take a break until you find yourself forgetting details of the game.
@@JJGlyph mhhh I totally love GW2, it's my favorite mmorpg - I never tried GW1, but I've seen some gameplay on RUclips and it's not the same, it's not even an mmorpg, it's really that worth it? I'm really happy with GW2 that I doubt GW1 would be even half good compared to it
Honestly, GW2 only has three flaws that could be improved: 1) Low encouragement to play and moderation of PvP, leading to low playerbase in this mode, 2) Low number of truly challenging encounters for hardcore PvE players and 3) Quarterly content releases are a bit too small. 2 is being addressed actually with the addition of Legendary Challenge Modes in the last expansion and the upcoming new raid. But if you are a new player (and not overly focused on PvP) you will have an absolute banging time for hundreds of hours.
@@EnjoyGengar No gear treadmill is one of the main reasons I stick to GW2 over other mmos. Without having to keep up with ever increasing gear scores, fomo events, or a sub fee, I don't feel pressured to play every day and can just play for fun without a nagging feeling that I'm missing out or falling behind. If I wanna play pew pew number go up and start from zero every few months, I play Path of Exile, and if I want to kill huge bosses with 50+ people and get another piece of shiny gear that I can freely change into the BiS for any current or future build forever, I play GW2.

Core Tyria is still the best in terms of world building. The amount of hidden details in the world, NPC dialogue and event routines is just staggering. While the gameplay is by far the weakest due to how easy everything has become in Core, the world is still the best.
The core is still great and entirely free. It's a nice and unlimited demo of the game and when players like it and want more when they can go for all the extra expansions and living world episodes.
This is a trailer for the free version. It would be almost criminally misleading to advertise the core game with footage from the expansions. Kudos to ANet for keeping it honest.
By far the best MMO available, even after all these years, I have yet to find anything that has such a good mix of music, fluid movement, enjoyable combat, and pretty environments.
8 years now playing GW2, and I just started a new warrior. Working my way through the classes, and I'd forgotten how exciting and just plain good the opening story is. And after 8 years, the most helpful player population of any game I've played. We're actually rewarded with for helping a downed player, get credit for a kill even if it's in a group, and all skill levels can play and enjoy.
Having played Throne and Liberty for about a month, now, individual loot drops and individual resource gathering sites are the thing that I miss the most from GW2.
@@aghileslounis Yeah man, many. Raids (and their challenge modes), strike missions (and their challenge modes), fractals (and their challenge modes), Big open world bosses, Meta events, Convergenses etc....
"Saga of the Norn" music piece still gives me chills!! But... if you play long enough and you are new to the game, expect the incredible masterpieces of music. I may be biased, but I think GW2 has the best OSTs in AAA games, or at least one of the greatest music. You are all welcome to my GW2 music channel to nerd about it with me.
I don't know anything about music other than i listen to what i like, and when it comes to video games, i like diversity. I, however have never enjoyed GW2's music more than back in HoT. Different themes (great ones too) for combat music and the soundtrack was amazing and innovative, and the raid soundtrack was just pure bliss. I don't do that with the expansions that came after, Do you think that the music just got "worse"? or is it just a personal preference thing. I got goosebumps with the "I am the Commander" part
This hits all the notes of GW2 in the early days. Great job, folks!
Always good to see that the marketing team still alive and burning steam, cause the game needs and deserves it
One of the only games other than Warframe and Monster Hunter where I have enjoyed my time through it 100%. It's fun and I don't feel the need to play everyday. I play when I want, where I want, however I want. Truly worth playing.
Best MMORPG in town
its like they decided to open up marketing department. :D
Much needed! But fucking deserved!
Blasphemy! BTW, where's my Quiznos promotion...
Been playing this game since day one, with only a few breaks due to personal hardware issues, and I'm flabbergasted it took them THIS long to finally make a decent game trailer instead of esoteric art that didn't promote the game.
Now if only they remember this lesson in another decade or two when Guild Wars 3 rolls around.
Are my eyes deceiving me? Is this a halfway decent Guild Wars 2 commercial? I can't believe it!
I almost said 12 years a bit late but its never too late
after playing GW2 i felt like i've lost years playing previous mmos! Rarely a game (even console ones) gave me such good feelings of exploration and wonder!
Easily one of the best commericals you have ever done. Awesome!
Израстнах със Faction и Nihgtfail и ще остарея със GW2 Моята история със вас, най добрите ми приятели също
