    Hi Ken, thanks for introducing us to this new Canon lens. I do like the sound of the Ultra sharp and instantaneous focus this lens produces, there's nothing like having fast focus. I trust your reviews Ken especially the review of the Nikon d7500. After watching your review i went out and bought one. You were spot on and the ISO picture samples were a great help to me. Thank you 😊

    Man I'm starting to get more interested in cameras and lenses over guns and scopes 😮

    Ken I’ve been waiting for you to review this lens , and I had a feeling you were going to praise it highly . Ken ,on an off question, I’m in need of a filter system , neutral density etc , and was looking at magnetic filter systems . I was wondering what you use and prefer ?

      I use screw in. Never used magnetic, seems like a loser idea as they’d fall off in high winds. I don’t know of anyone who uses these, magnetic filters are only productive for very strange systems like old rotating panoramic cameras www.kenrockwell.com/tech/noblex.htm

      @@KenRockwellTV thank you for the response Ken. Seeing as I already have all my different sized polarizers in the screw on version, guess I’ll do the same with the ND’s

    I hope that Nikon will also make such a lens 🥹

      Yawn. Even if they did it would be offshored to China and have poor autofocus since it would only work on Nikon’s cameras. I upgraded to the Canon system in 2012 and I’m so glad I did. I suggest you consider the same, for obvious reasons. Thanks!

      Hi Ken, thanks for introducing us to this lens, I do like the Ultra sharp and instantaneous focus. I do trust your reviews Ken as Cameras and lenses you have reviewed have been spot on. Especially the Nikon d7500 which I have, the example pictures you showed of the ISO from ISO 100 onwards, that was Gold for me. Thanks Ken 😊

      @@KenRockwellTV yes, sometimes I think about changing to Canon, especially in recent weeks (I took my brand new 85mm 1.4G (still Made in Japan) to Nikon service center because it has white spots inside, and they are still fixing it)... 24-70 ED VR has similar manufacturing defect. BUT i spend too much money for my lenses and cameras + I love my D850 (I don't living from photography)
      Update:
      I was seriously disappointed by the Nikon service (the condition of the lens is worse than before the repair), so actually I REALLY think about switch to Canon, and stop feeding Nikon by my money.

    Don't use a UV filter please !!!🤦

    • @KenRockwellTV
      @KenRockwellTV  3 месяца назад +2

      For those of us who shoot in the real world; I use a UV and never a cap. To test a UV filter, look at something distant through a spotting scope and hold the filter over the objective. If there is even the slightest lack of sharpness, you'll see it through the scope long before it will have any effect on pictures. Thanks!
