Quick Tip. When cleaning the filter with water use running water (tap) and pass the water on the side behind the side where dust is accumulated. DO NOT use the water spray on the side of dust.
The moisture he mentions at the beginning is condensation. There is a tray to catch this which then flows away in the drain. If you blow all of the dirt/dust Into the unit like that you will cause a build up in the tray. Cleaning units like this risk blockages which will cause your unit to leak.

The roller type blower has thin plastic vanes. Heavy accumulation of dust and dirt cake the vanes. They can be easily cleaned using a mascara brush very well.

So you blew the dust further inside the AC unit with a blower... Right... I'm no AC expert but the dust didn't disappear, it's in there now. That can't be good, that's gonna bite you in the rear one way or another.
Can't you just turn the unit on heating mode if it's a reverse cycle system? It'll save alot of time. And also if you use a blower to get rid of all the dust, where do all the dust go? Around the room or floor?
yeah.. bunch of dust will fly around your room. I'll modify those steps. Kind of bs I'll probably use the small places adapter of my vacuum cleaner instead.
Great video. Remember to always wear a face mask to cleaning AC units you expose yourself to germs and possible bacteria build up within the filters. Thanks for the video 😊

@@sergiocastro588 Vacuum is not very effective but it can work to some degree and is useful for removing thick outer layer of dust. You should also be careful as the fins are quite soft and can be easily dented especially if the brush is too stiff. Alternatively, you can use a portable manual pressure water sprayer or buy a cheap electric pressure water sprayer. Water pressure of 3 to 5 bar is sufficient to do the job. Water is more effective as it will soften the dirt or dust and is therefore more effective. A bit of soap helps too. Whatever method you use, just apply the following principles. Dust will disperse in all direction if strong force is applied at it. Water has the effect of soaking the dust which can then be easily dislodge from the fins.
A good pointer on electrical isolation and regular washing of the filters, but the rest of the advice was weak. Your method of cleaning pushes dirt and dust further into the coil. Also, many air conditioners have mould that causes the smell you mentioned. To clean away the bad smell, you need to remove the mould. The casing needs to be removed and vacuum with a HEPA grade vacuum before cleaning the coil and blower fan with cleaning solution and low-pressure cold water spray.
You just literally push the dirt inside and makes the fin clogs by dirt. remember that the dirt soak by moisture and makes it slimmy dirt that clogs in the fins and may cause damage to the ac system. if you dont know how it works you better not to touch anything you making its worse. just saying and to those who think that they save money think again. its better to spend money for preventive maintenance that to spend to repair.

I think it would be better to vacuum instead of blowing the dirt inside unit...
