You’re not kidding the Colossus lives up to its namesake 😅 honestly though, heavy bikes tend to feel incredible on jumps and chunk. And the new Berm Creek revamp looks incredible!
Crazy, didn't know its weight was quite that high! The Ferrum LVN 160 I built is all steel with coil front and rear and its weight is pretty much spot on with his last Colossus. You think a lot of that weight comes from the linkage? Or is the tubing just that beefy on this thing? I've never seen one in person so Im curious

Dang, what a deal. I paid $1700 for my D7 a couple years ago (and put a used Pike on it, which really helped). Would definitely be scoping out the N7 if I hadn't gone all-eMTB all the time.
really good spec, not High end but fair middle class components, 4pot front brake with big rotor, big range kassette and Fcking tunable solid low friction air sprung suspension, PERFECT for intermediates!!
I just ordered and received a Polygon Xtrada 5 for a friend and he is extremely happy with it. It's for transportation and he isn't a fan of the 1x setup. The Xtrada 5 is a 2x cross country bike which will be on tarmac 99% of the time.
That is incredible they were able to spec a zeb and 12 spd deore for that price. I will say that I've seen tons of people posting pictures of cracked polygon frames specifically the Dseries frames. Leaves you to wonder if you're getting that level of component spec where the shortcuts are being made, likely the frame and the linkages.
When I hear about that, I just wonder what they were doing with the bike before and during the crack. I know they're entry level bikes, common for teens or people starting out. I'd assume that they were using the bike for some pretty gnarly stuff. I know that sounds like a paid Polygon shill, but if you read Pinkbike comments on their articles, everyone says every frame cracks all the time
@EvansMTBSaga yeah, not sure. My friend has had a D 7 that he has ridden pretty hard and it's been great for the last year and a half or so, no issues.
Was aboutta comment on another new bike, but the minivan makes sense! We got a 2022 Sienna XSE last year, fitted some Enkei rims and Michelin Pilot Sports, its a blast! Hope the Collusses works out for you Evan
Oh yeah the XSE is an awesome trim! With the wait-list, I settled for an LE AWD. I bet yours looks killer with the rims. I felt like the designers knew what they were doing giving it tuner vibes for the aging 90s/00s kids haha
@@EvansMTBSaga Oh yeah fly sure! The stock rims with the plastic hubcaps just didn't look right, according to my father. My sister and I aren't little kids anymore, but minivans are the pinnacle of immaturity! The Sienna is getting about 36 MPG with ideal weather. Cold weather noticeably decreases battery range.

Really would like a new bike and the Whyte T140 29 is currently only 2k, but the spec is lower than my 2018 T130 which now sports Hunt Trailwide wheels, Hope BB, Shimano slx 4 pots, Monarch RC3, and the fork is now a 150mm Revpikey as it has the latest piston and 2.1 charger. In fact it's probably lower than the S spec I got the 130 in to begin with! It would have to be a night and day difference after a demo day even in base spec for me to consider it as I'd never get enough back from the 130 to put similar upgrades on the 140.
