I hope someone gets and make this useful as it could have replaced a lot of the ultra budget devices, well I guess will have to wait and the see a feview of the SF3000 and if that one is worth it.
On the plus side, with it running ES/Retroarch there's a chance the community can fix it unlike the original version that had that horrible cheap handheld OS
@deadfred69 in your honest opinion, is the CB408 handheld (RK3566 RP3+ clone) worth a buy? My brother I wanting one & I'm doing research before he gets one. I showed him your video & he's been wondering if over time it's gotten better.
@@guardianbeardizer6361 the only other Android handhelds at this price point are plastic so just the fact that it's metal makes it worth it for this price point in my opinion but I do have an affinity for metal. That being said it does not have Linux still and there's no custom firmware even though it's a 3566 mainly because nobody's working on it. I think it has a lot to like about it and I think that he would be satisfied unless this is his very first handheld and if that's the case I wouldn't start with this
The sad thing is that with very little effort this could have been so much better! I was so excited when I first saw it, but my hopes quickly nosedived when I saw the chip (props for just coming out with it), no triggers, and the "dpad". IMO, they could have left out the hdmi, usb, secondary stick, added an actual dpad, and unlocked software. It would be so much better. Also, is that a spot on the back for a camera? So glad they didn't.
Rg stands for for retro game, 50xx is the screen size aka a 5inch screen as a 35xx is a 3.5 inch. This isnt a copy of a copy its a resolution scale to size screen that people dont seem to understand lol especially the RG part
Yep but the XX part is what throws them pretty close to how anbernic chooses to do it. They could have went RG50XY for example to give some differentiation
Retro arch ahhhh… poor speakers.. wonder if you can mod put better speakers in it. Better off getting miyoo mini plus or rgb30 for good price then worth it.
More E-Waste but is there a gem here?
Anything without a real Dpad is an instant non starter. Great video!
Thanks for watching!
The screen out of the box looks like from a 10 year old device you found in the botton of a drawer and forgot you still had it, great stuff
This is named like an Anbernic with the build of an old Powkiddy

Reminds me of that old version of this that looks like switch red/blue sides, minus this one uses joycon analogs instead of psp sliders
it's same company I believe

@@guardianbeardizer6361that's a very good point.

Oh God! This would be great if it was released 5 years ago.

I totally agree!
Can you show all the emulators they have in the menu and test more of the higher end systems?

Great vid
For those who absolutely hate false diagonals
Your ewaste is better than Wicked's.
Anbernic should re-release the RG503 as the RG50XX just to spite this company. 😆
hahaha that would be awesome
What is the screen resolution? Thanks
It's reported 800 x 480 which is a 5:3 ratio
@@deadfred69 Thanks
