The dpad, buttons, pwr switch & volume wheel all feel much better once you get some hours on them. I did buy some rechargeable batteries would suggest 1.5v instead of the more common 1.2v rechargeables I went with some by Batzone. There's an updater on Modretro website and yes there is a FW & FPGA update available. Enjoyed the video I hope you enjoy your Chromastic as much as I do mine 😊

Also a couple other things to add, the modretro games do work on original hardware, that problem you were having was due to the cartridge not being read, most likely due to dirty pins in the slot. Also, the weird color thing that was happening with the pocket was due to you playing in original gameboy mode. Since it’s technically a gameboy color game you want to play it in gameboy color mode. Nonetheless great comparison of the two!

There actually is an sd card slot on the motherboard, it’s just not being used for anything. For now at least ;)

For anyone interested to know, I purchased this just a day ago on Amazon. Exact packaging, but It now says r40s pro printed onto the board and came with an 256gb lexar sd card. They may have realized their mistake and fixed the label on the board. Surprised to see a brand name sd card being used as well, but could possibly be a knock off card.

It's still my favorite device I own. Awaiting my magnesium shell now, in dark blue, and I can only imagine it's going to even be better than before. The buttons are supposed to be improved from what others have shown and this looks to be the ultimate version of this device.
