Check the back of the cartridges themselves. If it says 000, its a first print and needs a download. 005 is the latest one that does not need an update. All older revisions need an update: 000,001,002,003,004
I wish I had known this before. I just got 2 and would have paid the extra $20 for each if I knew it was possible to get one that didn't need an update.
Great job on the update!! I would love to know more about the rom dump to. Also would you be able to open the fake cartridge? If it is a reverse engineered MIG cart maybe we might see a sd card inside? Maybe we all can think of more ways to test this.
One big hint: Always check if the back of the game has an Official Nintendo Seal. This is one surefire indication that it's an authentic product and not a counterfeit one. Another one is to buy from reputable sellers and check reviews before buying.
you can compare it with roms for sure but there is a difference having it directly from a cartridge or installing it as nsp. as nsp its very easy to find out who the owner of the file is, cartridges otherwise is an absolutely horror situstion for game developers/studios

Do you know if they updated the packaging as well? Or will the 005 version also still say that a software update is needed?

You tested it, you saw it, you touched it, you heared it, you tasted it, but what about the smell?! 🤔 😂
a real good question 😂💯
glad you made a follow-up video bro. keep the uploads coming bro
Thanks Trippy I think about doing more RUclips again. 🚀💯
Are switch games like DS games where the letters on the back match the letters on the label?? And the counterfeits do not?
This is unbelievable its so hard to know which is real which is fake if i was buying a game and don't have it side by side i would get scammed😅.
Right!? The Online play experience makes it like a legit game, but we'll find out soon what nintendo is doing against this situation
@@yu-gg i can tell it will be not good

Okay i will buy fake games now, it's much cheaper than the original
I have that asian game cart, I did not know if it's fake, I'm able to do trades, transfer pokemon to home without any problem. I got it cheap.
such a nice video😍💯🔥
Soo..in other words, this "fake" pokemon game is the same as ROMs. Only different is you need to pay for it. 😅

@@yu-ggwhat about dumping that fake game?! 🤔
Maybe we can get some useful information about it?! 🤔
@@FaKz92 I can try that out actually! thanks for the idea
It’s like $20 on Aliexpress
If fake games are 75% cheaper, I’ll buy them. Where is the link? 😂
