Watching the video, I was inspired by the creative design choices for the entertainment center. The combination of the electric fireplace and the faux concrete wall not only looked modern but also seemed doable for someone like me who enjoys a good DIY project.

When pouring out of a five gallon bucket, spin the buck around so the pour spout is at the top (not the bottom). With the pour spout at the top, it allows air to flow in as you pour out, so you get a nice smooth pour (even with thick products like waterproofing membrane). Keep up the good work, I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to document your basement renovation, it is very much appreciated.

That looks excellent. You make it seem so easy, which I know is not always true.

What a fantastic transformation Andrew. Love your 'fashion statement' too :). Yeah, it was a waste of paper to cover that old floor, but good habits are hard to learn and overlook so quickly. Great job. Does the fireplace provide any heat?

Appreciate it Patrick! And fashion is a highly underrated aspect of DIY lol. It does provide heat - a lot of it actually. The basement ends up being the warmest part of the house when the fireplace is turned on. Thanks for watching!!

Just watched some of your basement videos, way cool and super informative! Any chance you’ll cover how to “soundproof” and install a full on home theater setup? I’ve been trying to learn how to convert a partial basement into a sick home theater space with Atmos and all. Also, any chance you’ll ever build some “hidden/Murphy doors” for less?
    Thanks and. Great videos!

I appreciate it! I have no plans for a soundproofing video as of now... but maybe in the future. Thanks for watching!

    1. Could have changed the wall to a normal depth wall 2. put a box for power and low voltage (internet) behind the tv inside the blocking. not through the wall by drilling a hole to pass the cable through. That one was rough to watch.
