I'm just now learning the "pocket hole" technique. And let's just talk about that method of taping everything out as Step 1, PRICELESS. I'm a very visual person as well, and tape on every big project I do - AND I tape out the floor if I'm getting new furniture.🤩 U did a phenomenal job on this project. It came out really nice.Ty for sharing. Definitely a new subbie here.😊
I have been trying to make one of those. This is close to what I want. You have given me the courage to do it. In some areas of the video I couldn't hear you but i still like the video. Thank you.
Love the mantle - it came out really well! I did notice that when you're recording live from your phone that the audio is very difficult to hear. I ran into a similar problem on some of my own recent videos. I managed to find a pretty inexpensive wireless mic on amazon and just mic-ed up even while holding my phone to record. Significant improvement for only about $35. Hope this helps, looking forward to the next project!
It is so beautiful. I am wondering about measurements. Like how big is the tv? How high is your ceiling? How high the bottom of the tv from the floor and the distance of the top of tv from the ceiling? All of these questions because i have a 9-foot ceiling and planning on placing an 85in tv with the tv having a height of 43 inches i do not think i have enough space to put a mantle between the tv and the fireplace. Thank you very much in advance!
I have 20 ft ceilings so I know the measurements may be different. This is a 75” tv and the bottoM of the tv is 5 ft off the ground. It’s not optimal viewing height but it’s where I wanted it for sure. I say use some painters tap and mark out on the wall your tv and mantle. This will help you visualize the end result. Good luck!
Curious when people are doing these electric fireplaces are you all wiring up the outlet to its own circuit? At 700/1500watt youre not leaving too much room if its on a 15amp breaker. 🤔 thinking 20amp breaker by itself.
Nice Job!! I'm getting ready to start a similar project--I'm trying to decide between Planipatch or Henry('s) Feather Finish; and between Durock and Hardie Backer Board--any recommendations that can settle my internal debate? Also, where did you hide your cable box, and anything else you might have connected to the TV? Thanks!
Sweet! Although, I feel these mounting fireplaces are too high for my liking due to the TV being way too high. Feels like breaking your neck to watch TV. Will be using this to build mines because my living room is similar to yours.
I have minor hairline cracks at all the seams and I followed all of the correct steps. Do you know how to fix these? Did you have any after letting the concrete set?
Like the seams in the middle? Or around the end? I didn’t have any cracking, I’d say maybe do one more coat and try and make it a bit thinner? If it’s around the outside you could try caulk
@@EternalHarvestDecor you put a 2 by 4 to rest the fireplace on but you didn’t put any small pieces underneath it so it doesn’t hang threw in time. With the weight of the fireplace the wood will bend without support underneath it
oh I see what you're saying, no, this is very light weight dont think I will have any problems with bowing, in my experience that only occurs when there is a much longer span and it is getting some bracing by the pieces above as well. But hey, if youre worried about it and doing the same project, go ahead and add more.
Yeah it is a big highr, I personally like that better since it’s such a large open space, I also like it higher do little hands can’t get to it, but you could adjust measurements to put it wherever you want
This video just helped me with the cement board issue I was having tonight. I was so frustrated lol! Thank you!
That view 😍
The blue one is my favorite. Yams
Really appreciate your attn to detail in explanations.
I’m so glad it’s helpful

Wow. Is their anything you won't tackle! Amazing.
Thank you!! I really wanted it which is good motivation haha.
Dope AF! I love that you explain mistakes along the way and your solution! Looks amazing!!!
That’s so nice of you! Thank you, I appreciate you watching
Please don’t ever stop what you do! You been such a blessing thank you!
Thank you ❤️
Fabulous job - this is gorgeous! I'm so excited to see a method where I don't have to sand between layers 👍
Thank you!
That came out great…really enjoyed watching this. Thanks for all the details.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
Maaaan, id duct tape a fireplace under one of those windows with that kind of a view lol. Thats beautiful.
Looks amazing. Great job

Dang it I thou]ght I fixed that! It must have messed back up when I was rendering! Thanks for watching anyway!
@@EternalHarvestDecor it's ok. Love the video anyway
Looks really good!
More beautiful than i imagined.
Thanks Sarah!
😱stunning!!
Really?Thank you so much!!
Great work. Love it. One small tip, the pocket holes of the frame should have been screws for the outside to the inside (flipping the board)
What size is your tv? And where did you get your mount for it?! I LOVE this so much and every detail you put into great work! ❤

Thank you! Yes! I thought I had fixed the problem before I rendered but looks like I didn’t. I do need a mic so thank you
@@EternalHarvestDecor happy to help! And truly only giving feedback to try and be helpful. Thanks for not responding defensively Haha
Very well done! Gorgeous!
Thank you so much ! ❤️❤️
Good work. I learned a lot.
How do unplug the electric fireplace in case one want to.
Just unscrew and pull out to unplug
Fantastic!!!
Many thanks!
AMAZING!!!

Way to go Brandy.
Thanks Gary!
Thank you 🙏🏻 allah bless you and your family
How has this held up over the past year? Thinking of doing this also, wondering if we should mud the tape on the seams first
Great! We love it! Still using it often
Sweet! Although, I feel these mounting fireplaces are too high for my liking due to the TV being way too high. Feels like breaking your neck to watch TV. Will be using this to build mines because my living room is similar to yours.
We chose to do that because of the size of the space but I totally get that
Pure awesomeness!!!! Love it!! ❤️❤️
Thank you so much!! youre the best!
Great video as always love the work
Thanks again! I sure appreciate you stickin around!
Did you consider a clear coat of some sort to protect the cement finish? Wondering if it would change the look? Either way this came out amazing
Thanks! I didn’t add a clear coat and we have been fine so far. But if you did it would def make it darker. You could try it?
Thank you!
Beautiful..Happy New Year..
Thank you! You too!
Can I get everything cut at Home Depot?😫
Wow..tremendous work! Looks great, how long did it take you?
Thank you! About a week
LOVE IT! Fantastic job, thanks for sharing……
Thank you! Thanks for watching Karen

Looks very nice! Can this be done with sheetrock as well?
Yes! I sheet rock would have probably been easier haha
Hi would you mind sharing where you found the tape for the cement board seems
Hi! Sure it’s just joint tape www.amazon.com/dp/B0076BO95I/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_undefined?linkCode=ml2&tag=brandiradulov-20
I know this is odd, I never knew you could get a fireplace like that! What brand and where did you get that fireplace????
Thanks!! It’s all linked in my description ❤️
You are awesome. 8)
How do you watuch TV when it is so high?
Easily and now the whole room can watch too
Very nice but shouldn’t you put some piece of wood under the fireplace so it wouldn’t hand threw with time?
Hi thanks for the comment, but I am not sure what you mean.

Why hardy backer vs plywood ?
Because it’s wet cement, does better in surfaces meant for tile
How is this holding up a year later
Still doing really well, just added a frame around the tv and love it even more! I just posted it on Instagram 🙌🏼
You’re A-Mazing!!! A woman after my own heart! Do u live in California?
I dont live in CA, I am in Utah. thank you so much for the kind words!
