first of all, the lighting the absolutely phenomenal. i have to confess that ive never seen the driver but your video somehow evokes the feeling of having done so. the finished object looks great imo!
Completely blown away. Never seen Drive myself, but the way you weave the themes of the film (and the material that inspired it, e.g. The Frog and The Scorpion) into it is just suchhhh a force 🤌 Recontextualising the back applique to be emblematic of the fiber artist's struggle, _compulsion,_ for perfection in the form of *_The_** Frog* made me gasp out loud. Your wit and your incredible craftsmanship really do make your channel one of my favourites on this platform. Just stunning ❤️
The patience! The perseverance! The designing! The redesigning! The re-redesigning! The testing and swatching and experimenting and researching! The in-depth analysis! This was a BEAST of a project and I am jaw-on-the-floor in awe of the finished piece(s), and obsessed with the symbolic frog motif replacing the scorpion. It really couldn't have been anything else. Your channel is SO inspiring, I love watching you construct these iconic movie wardrobe pieces in knit and crochet and it blows my mind how incredible they turn out every time! It's all the more incredible after watching the journey you took to get there. You are an AMAZING fiber artist!
My PhD advisor: Wow! You met your deadlines super early this week??? Me: Haha. Yeah. Totally wasn’t because I told myself I needed to analyze the data faster so I could watch a beloved British fiber arts RUclipsr. Nope. Hahahaha. (Excellent video, as always!!!)
I absolutely love watching your videos you. You inspire the crap outta me. I just learned to knit a year ago and i foolishly believed (watching many perfect Instagram videos)as a knitter i was the only one constantly frogging, and not getting it right the first go around. I love how you show your progress, your story telling, and your humor. You are insanely talented and you inspire me to think outside the box. Thank you for taking your time making these videos for us, they really do have a big impact. ❤
I'm in ABSOLUTE AWE 😮😮😮 The final product is unbelievable, the silhouette is absolutely perfect, the FROG motif, instead of the scorpion? Perfection ❤ Your creative and problem-solving processes are so incredibly inspiring, and it's so refreshing to see someone tackle truly out-of-the-box projects in the fiber arts world. Also I saw parts of the video multiple times trying to wrap my head around how you made the front panels, it's like it's witchcraft! How did you join the pieces at the top to continue in a single piece? Did you join one stich from the front of the pocket and one from the back into a single one and just kept going? Thank you so much for sharing the journey that was this jacket with us ✨🙌✨
Absolutely love long knitting videos, especially when theyre put together this well! Definitely feeling inspired to start projects based on media I like.
You are a better knitter than I am because I would have just stitched the bottom of the outer shoulder bit up until it sat flatter! Your final piece turned out beautifully though so it was worth the extra effort.
It's always such a joy to see you figuring things out and create such phenomenal pieces! You are a huge inspiration for me to take a step away from knitting the mainstream patterns in grey or neutrals and use knitting as a really creative hobby! Thanks for your videos
I loved this video. I watched the movie yesterday as some sort of assigned reading before this vid haha. SPOILERS FOR DRIVE (2011) after this point! . . . I think the Driver is the frog - he has the literal scorpion on his back the whole time. He’s too good-natured, by taking on the heist for Standard he takes the metaphorical scorpion (Nino & Bernie) on his back. The scorpion can’t help but sting (steal the $1M, send a hitman to Irene), and the frog can’t help but drown them both (he literally drowns Nino only to then get stabbed by Bernie, though he manages to stab Bernie back). I think he believed himself to be the scorpion the whole time, and maybe through the stabbing that he „won“ in the end, he has become it. His future does seem like it will contain more active violence.
Your commitment to details and willingness to rip and redo never fails to impress.
This is literally one of the most impressive pieces you've ever made and that's saying a lot because everything you make is impressive
that's so kind, thank you!

Was just rewatching the Vivienne Westwood dress vid! Yay!!!

What takes longer, writing the script or knitting these pieces? Cause you are extremely gifted in both!
Have I ever seen this movie? No. Am I .... Under Your Spell? Well, yes.
it’s so good!! The frog(ging) jacket 🐸
it's the perfect name (and use) for it! ty :)
I don't even know what to say. Wow... Thats a cool jacket.
This is amazing. I need to know that stitch pattern for the quilting. Is it just 2x1 cables on the WS with purls in-between? It's incredible.
You’re literally the best
You are the frog master 💚
I loved this video. I watched the movie yesterday as some sort of assigned reading before this vid haha.

Yo! My ex said he really wanted a replica of this jacket. Now I’ll have to knit it up for myself and make him jealous 😈
Can I ask if there is a pattern for the pink cardigan with the red hearts you have on in the video?

There’s never an argument against putting in pockets. 😂
