    The rules against clinch, elbows, and knees were implemented because those kill the ability to use combos. So, in kickboxing with the Thais being limited, you need to use those to your advantage.

    Awesome video! Having started kickboxing a few months ago, i've really come to appreciate your channel and breakdowns. I can see you stepping away from those push kicks, i can see you using that dutch style effectively, what a beautiful sport!

      It really is beautiful. The aggressive side blinds many people from it but you see if once you start to understand the sport.

    Loved this, I remember watching this fight. One fc last night , kaonar vs some daghestani reminded me of this. Too much volume in 3 rounds for the Thais and combos if they aren’t used to it

    With all due respect the main reason why you defeated Sitmonchai is that there were no elbows, clinching and sweeps.

    Hey Gabriel!
    Love the channel. I've been following you for a long time, and it is good to see you get the recognition you deserve for all those video's you've uploaded the past years. I want to suggest a future video for you to make, but you must understand that I don't want to disrespect you in anyway.
    You've had a fight with Robin van Roosmalen, which you've lost. It was a TKO loss, but there is no shame in it, because Robin is a multiple weight world champion. Could you analyse what went wrong in that fight? KO losses seems like the worst way to lose. Is it possible to include what the different 'feeling' is after such a fight between a KO loss and a decision loss? Does it give you more hunger to train harder for the next fight? Or does it reduce hunger, and make you more introspective about the pathway of your carreer? Basicly: what are the consequences of losing by KO, besides the brain damage?
    I think such a video can really help some fighters, especially those who are anxious to losing by KO. So, again, my suggestion is not to disrespect you, but more one suggestion out of curiosity.

    • @GabrielVargaOfficial
      @GabrielVargaOfficial  2 года назад

      Thanks Frits. I've actually made a video about my fight against Robin. I'll link it below.
      I've never had a KO loss because against Robin my brother and I decided there was no point in fighting round 5 so we took the TKO loss. In that moment we were thinking about brain damage. Another couple knockdowns could be bad so take the loss and move on to a new fight. My motivation was still very high after that fight.
