You both have good eyes for seeing truth he is suffering inside from emotional loss
He is very open about his struggle with depression and that he has come a long way. It isn't pretend though, as he said "you can't have the yin without the yang" and he fully embraces feeling good and bad. A lot of comedians start getting into comedy because it is a way to escape their sadness.

He's the greatest comedian in Hollywood, yes his got older and he played some serious and even depressing roles in recent years but no one can compare to the laughter he brought to us in his earlier works, he's absolutely untouchable
Truly a blessed comedian and actor. I pray every day that he doesn't end his life like the great Robin Williams did. These beautiful souls, with almost ultra human comedic powers are special and treasured. One of my other faves of all-time is Danny Kaye. Carrey, Williams, & Kaye are my faves. 💛💛💛

@@justhit6673 robin was completely different. completely. a big part of robins issue was he was being ignored largely. his roles werent getting very much attention at all. he was always emotionally troubled and it seeped into his parts. i was never attracted to watching anything he did. one thing that made 1 hr photo scary to me was i thought he was really that crazy and in that way.
Don’t forget his other dramatic role The Truman Show.

Comedic actors like Robin Williams, Jim Carrey or Eddie Murphy would probably make really interesting Jokers. A lot of comedic actors have the skills to carry out dramatic roles, and many of them grew up in difficult situations or have certain mood/psychological issues that are masked with over the top comedic styles. I'd definitely watch Jim as Joker, maybe it'd turn out to be something like a murdering psychopathic Ace Ventura? LOL

On top of that American accents(more specifically new England accents) are closer to the original way English sounded during the 1700s than current British English sounds.
Around the time of the industrial revolution the British upper class started adopting a more posh accent to differentiate themselves from the poor. Aspects of that accent spread throughout all the classes leading to the variety of British accents(yes there is more than one type of British accent) we see today

I get the impression he knows that. There are people (i'm one of them) who use their abilities to make other people happy to distract themselves. I have nowhere near his level of anything. I just help people outside so I don't have to look inward. Like Robin Williams, Jim's comedy comes from a dark place. I worry about him. I hope he has true people in his life, close friends not there just because he's Jim Carrey. He helps us feel better. He needs people to do the same for him. So he knows he's loved beyond what he shows the world.

@Kevin McCanney Anyone who does any sort of writing keeps their multiple edits/paper copies/ hand written plots/summaries etc. It takes about 10 edits before you can even give it to friends to read, then you're going to need to find a publisher to take it on. Which is probably the hardest part.
Judging by the way this guy writes im pretty sure he's off his chops, and not the greatest annonymous writer of the modern age. Just even entertaining the thought is pretty insulting to the people who've worked their guts off to get their magnus oppus out in the world.

The thing that's unique about Jim Carrey is that even as someone who doesnt find a lot of his jokes funny, his energy and confidence in everything he says or does makes it so clear that hes enjoying himself so much when he acts or performs, and that always makes me smile. Nothing with him is forced. (Which is impressive based on how animated he is). It all just comes so natural to him and you cant help but smile even if you have no idea what you're smiling at. Hes just always had very positive energy.
