As a woman I love the sport my dad taught me how to fish bigger smile it doesn't matter it's the thrill of the catch and I love it next time you're in traverse City will have to go fishing together on the bay it would be great!!!
Hi Jim! Been loving the content! Researching how the fishing is down there this winter. I'm over in SW Florida and will be visiting that area staying in Marathon for a week starting Feb 17th. Picking up my brother and nephew from MIA on the way down. Hopefully we'll get some decent fishable weather windows during that week. Here in Sarasota we've gotten a few good days in-between cold fronts otherwise I just stay inshore and catch sheepshead, redfish, trout, and an occasional snook. Red grouper have been good when I can get near or off-shore. Keep up the great videos! Maybe we'll see you in three weeks! Tight lines! Big Mike
Going out back from 4A is VERY tricky unless you know exactly where you're going. So many boaters get grounded trying to get there!! You made the right choice!
@@cousinjim1just saw your cameo in the RV family's long key video. FYI you cannot use porkfish as bait. They are considered aquarium/marine life species. In order to keep them, you would need a Marine Life license, specific gear (mostly nets, mostly caught by divers) and they must be kept ALIVE for aquarium purposes. They cannot be used as bait or for consumption. There are a plethora of fish on that list, go over it so you don't end up with a few misdemeanors. And make sure that you look over the Key Largo EMA because there is absolutely no spearfishing in KL unless you're in 300 FEET OF WATER DEPTH or south of Rodriguez Key and 3NM out from shore. The KL EMA is 121 square miles and encompasses the entire parallel waters from BNP to Rodriguez Key. Spearfishing there would constitute for an automatic arrest or for you, an NTA since you're local. Be very careful!
@@Jennifer-f8r8g you are absolutely right sometimes my motor mouth runs faster than my brain I have a fox face in my aquarium I would think he is a relative of the pork fish you sound like you may know?
