If you could 'Frankenstein' the PERFECT pair of headphones or earbuds, from any brand or model, what would they be made up of? I'd go, Sonos' sound quality, Sonos' comfort, AirPods' connectivity with the Apple ecosystem, AirPods earcup design (not the head strap/band!) and, actually, the TiTum's epic headphone 'modelling' app. 🔥 Get 50% off Keeper Password Manager: geni.us/KeeperPW
Just give me AirPod Max’s with the headband of the Sonos and a little less weight and I’m happy. The Sonos has been a disappointment for me, I’ll be returning them for various reasons.
Thanks for this! I also purchased Sonos Ace and found them to be really nice headphones. And yes… they work fantastic with the Arc. I also really like the sound profile when compared to the other BT headphones.
Awesome video. I have seen reports of Sonos ace bricking with certain anker and Belkin chargers. Do yours still work and what are your opinions on the app that everyone is angry about. I want to know if I should switch from AirPod max to Sonos. What brick do you use and what headphones do you prefer after months of use
Would u recommend them? I really want a workout pair but I’m a bit worried about the durability 😅 everyone seems to be using AirPods Max at the gym nowadays
@ I have the new AirPod max usb c version. However I would use the Sonos over AirPod max for the gym. It fits better and doesn’t fall over like the AirPod max
Hi Pete! I watched the Ace review with interest like many others since the day of their debut. In use cases no one ever contemplates or tries the use of headphones for video editing, which often turns out to be a point of failure in many products even high-end ones due to the lag that is introduced with BT connections or even with wired use (if possible). I own several headphones both in-ear and over-ear, and only some of them can be used for the purpose without generating delays that obviously translate into problems when editing video. Have you tried using them both in BT connection (which with 5.4 should be very fast and stable) and wired? It could be a further point to consider regarding an aspect that actually turns out to be a potential 360° use.
i know its a weird question but since you compared them to the beats, how would you compare to airpods pro 2? interm of anc and sound quality (in apple products)
Great review. I would say a better comparison would have been to Bose and Sony headphones as they are more of a direct competitor than the beats but still a great review
I'm keeping an eye on the sonos Ace headphones, they're exactly what I'm looking for in over ear headphones. I want them for their ability to connect to my sonos soundbar, but it currently only supports the Arc and I have a Beam gen 2. So, I'm waiting till my soundbar is supported.
Hey, so I'm torn between these headphones and the Bose QC Ultras. Can you help me decide? I'm looking for new headphones and I just can't make up my mind between these two.
You should clarify in the title, that you are talking about wireless headphones. How are they compared to Focal Bathys or T+A T headphones? Overall in headphones we are obviously talking about Hifiman Susvara, Abyss, Focal, Audeze and others in the summit fi world. Not to mention Warwick acoustics Aperio, Sennheiser HE-1, Hifiman Shangri-La Senior or the new Raal Immanis.
Having them for a week, I'm not blown away. Also got the Bose QuiteComfort Ultra and Sennehiser Momentum 4 as a direct comparison. Also, I'm about to buy my soundbar and maybe a set of surround speakers, that's it. Sonos would've been one my options but the way they force people to ditch their android device and switch to Apple kinda puts me off. There is a reason I abandoned Apple but Sonos doesn't leave too many choices if I want to unlock their full potential, eg. calibration or audio swap between the Arc and Ace, etc. I'm still shocked to learn that their retail boxes don't even have the 'Works with Android' badge, only the 'Made for iPhone/iPad' ones. When I had a chat with their rep, he clearly stated that Sonos prioritise Apple and iOS compatibility and this is the main goal with all their software and hardware developments, however he also mentioned in a very arrogant manner, if I'm really desperate to use them with android, most of their products MAY work with limited functions but it's not their intended purpose. Why can't an audio company stay neutral? The way they approach their consumers is quiet disgusting, discriminating eveything is not Apple.
@@PeteMatheson Q1 2024 smartphone vendor market share rankings: ○ Samsung 20% ○ Apple 17% ○ Xiaomi 14% ○ OPPO 8% ○ vivo 7% Either way, an audio company should always remain an audio company and therefore be NEUTRAL. There is no such company apart from Sonos who would force potential consumers to pick their side (OS-wise) carefully, otherwise they will not make business with you.

APM with USB-C, Bathys driver and tuning, and Bathys DAC mode. A foldable design like the Ultra is icing on the cake but unnecessary.
These things only come off my head when I go to sleep. Absolutely love mine❤
Glad to hear it! They are very good!
What's crazy is that Airpod Maxes are almost 4 years old and still comparing to the best!!
Very true! To be fair, we usually only compare to the Max’s because that’s what everyone else seems to be interested in the most!
... and the Maxes sound better the Aces have a treble bump
NOT REALLY THE NEW ONES ARE THE BEST …SOUND AND BULID ..TO THE CARRYING CASE
The apple thing where it automatically transfer your music and everything over to your MacBook or phone vice versa is life changing

The recent update made the sound more pronounced and better for Sonos
I think you nailed this review & as of now, I'm certain I want them. Awesome review & video, sincere thanks!
Thanks for watching!

Sonos was one of the best I have used for work out. It doesn't fall as much as the Sony xm8. Airpod Max is horrible using at the gym .

Love you're videos, subscribed to you're channel
Watching this video whilst wearing the Sonos Ace that I’ve bought this week! 😂 Loving them so far!!

Nice video man, mmm might need to try these
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed this one 👍🏼 they’re really great ones

the noise cancelling is seriously mid on these if you listen to rtings tests, compared to the WHXM4, WHXM5s, AirPods Max, and Bose QC Ultra.

Good point - but the Beats are just my fave in-ears!

Same here! No beam support yet. But they’re fantastic headphones, that aside 👍🏼
Thank you for such an unbiased review!
Personally they are the best looking headphones on the market imo
Appreciate you watching! Thank you, and agreed! Super slick. Love em 👌🏼
Did you adjust EQ in the S24U?
Sony xm5 or Sonos ?? Please help.
Personal choice but Sonos!
Guys I bought it finally, but whoever reads and thing about to buy this over MX5, huge mistake. I own both of them. Regards.
I would include the repairability and the freedom to use without an account of Fairbuds XL
Ah good point! Haven’t included this in any of the reviews so far.
Hey, so I'm torn between these headphones and the Bose QC Ultras. Can you help me decide? I'm looking for new headphones and I just can't make up my mind between these two.
Personal preference but I massively prefer the Sonos
Awesome, thanks for your opinion

I mean, from a business perspective it makes sense: Apple's market share is about 50% vs ALL the other brands 🤷🏻♂️ Agree that it's not ideal though

😂😂 unbaised but the video is a paid promotion
Yes, paid for by a Password Manager brand, not Sonos.
