I mean, who wouldn't get nervous? To call Hamilton a loose cannon with no impulse control is an understatement. He never learned how to talk less *_or_* take a break. He likely could've had a much longer life, potentially even an even more successful career, had he just learned how to shut the hell up and not work himself to exhaustion, causing his already bad impulse control to worsen.
I love how near the end it includes the "da da da da da" from 'You'll be back', but rather than how the King was the lead of it the lyric the whole time, Washington did it with them twice and then left them to do it themselves after teaching them how to work independently
Yeah, in this there’s a lot more tension and drama, it isn’t mainly about the emotion of Washington leaving, but in One Last Time, it’s entirely about emotion and Washington leaving, so after listening to the album a few times the emotion goes away
Imagine how insane this would look onstage.Especially Hamilton screaming "PAY YOUR F*****G TAXES!"I know why they cut it but I'm still sad about it not making it in
The image of Washington and Hamilton pulling up to a crowd, drunk and alone saying, ‘you are outgunned, outmanned, outnumbered’ is priceless. Hamilton is an S tier hype man with the the adlibs bro.

I would love politicts if that's what happened. Like imagine how imagine the textbooks would be "it was then that Alexander Hamilton walked out, accompanied by the president, George Washington. He shouted "PAY YOUR FREAKING TAXES" and returned to the bulding."
Time vs Ride: while both are good I think that time is better because rather than tell a story of a rebellion and Washington going home, it focuses on Hamilton's reaction to Washington stepping down and Washington saying its ok. Its more of a conversation between 2 friends rather than a story, and carries more emotion For actors i can't pick though, I love both

This is the workshop version. This was recorded in 2014, before the final version was performed at Broadway in 2015. They changed Washington's actor for the Broadway version idk why
Agreed. They could have kept the bit where they went to confront the rebellion as its own song. Though the thing is that the placement would be tricky since Jefferson had already resigned at that point so having it before One Last Time wouldn't make sense, but right after wouldn't make sense either since Washington had already stepped down.
I really like this song, it's super fun, but I'm still glad we got One Last Time instead. I feel like Hamilton's depression about Washington leaving was really important to emphasize and I'm glad One Last Time touched on that. Here, Hamilton doesn't really care and is just like "Sure I'll help u :D" and it just doesn't really feel natural. Both songs are great tho
Well in this one, Hamilton still has 2 years before Washington is out of office and dealing with the Whiskey Rebellion is a much more pressing need than moping about Washington not staying in office.
