Man.. they handled that loss with class. That was rough. Some of those were less than half the hammer price I would have guessed.. Worldwide did them dirty in my opinion. Hardly any enthusiasm or trying to work the crowd at all. Was like watching a wholesale auction on a bunch of Kia’s with salvage titles for the buy here pay here lots.

You can make money of cars. You just have to know which cars will rise in value and buy low and sell high. Right now is not a good time to sell. Most of the cars sold are not valuable collector cars. You will lose money or break even when buying the type of race cars he had for sale.

I might add to this that I am an enthusiast. Not a collector! I like Porsches. I seen that they weren’t going for what I thought they should have. It even surprised me ! So in my comment I should have clarified. Maybe one day I can afford one. A driver, not a trailer queen or show car. Yes they are out there I know. I don’t know how anyone got out of my comment that I could or could not afford any of these cars. Most weren’t to my taste. However, to get a classic Porsche at less than Camry prices shocked me a bit. That’s all

Dennis you made a great payday out of the fleet you sold. Anyone would be happy if they had even a hundredth of your auction tally sitting in the bank. You have a much too refined taste in vehicles to take a chance at auctions. It would make more sense to promote them online through the dealership and to use full page ads in prosport souvenir programs locally. You need to find those rare folks that can afford and fully appreciate these vehicles for their exceptional pedigree. Your online persona could promote an online dream car matchmaking service for those once in a lifetime finds you seem to dig up almost weekly.

Wow...those prices were not what I expected to see. Has market dropped in last 2 yrs that much? Kelsey's copo is a 175k car . The 1 of 1 concept shud be a 250k car or more. Unreal. Sorry it was a down year guys. Thx for sharing the ride and better luck in the fall. We all appreciate the content and to view from afar

The downward trajectory continues. Dennis isn't the only one taking a bath at car auctions. It only appears to be a great time to be a buyer. It is folly (imo) to assume the market for classic and muscle cars will rebound. The enthusiasts and their over weight wallets are aging out of the game and there's just not a whole lot of next gens coming up behind. We are witnessing a decades long boom cycle morph into a far less populated niche market.

Dennis, so sorry about the results. My wife and I watch every Coffee Walk episode and know how much you and the entire team put into every car. I guess for what ever reason the market seems to have changed dramatically. If I was in a better financial position, I would have bought the Alabama Hamma for whatever you were expecting to get for it. We will be ordering the "Outstanding" blend of Blue Island Coffee ☕. We love you guys and keep the episodes coming! Thank you!

I remember the local PD had 2 Javelin police highway patrol cars - In Manitoba, Canada. I recall they had aftermarket skid plates under the engines, likely from a local fabricator, and I recall that they had a reputation for being fast. The PD replaced the one remaining Javelin (other one crashed) in the fall of '76 with a slow 351V8 Ford LTD II sedan... a big step back...
