I've been a Jimmie Johnson fan since the early beginning of his career, and I won't lie. When I seen both the 9 and 88 going around, it brought back so many memories! Especially Bowman's, I loved that paint scheme, it all brought back so many memories to where, I just couldn't stop smiling, I miss the lowe's 48 days, you never think they would end, until they do! But of course, you simply can't go without, mentioning the man himself, Jimmie's paint scheme, possibly my most favorite of the throwbacks he has ever done. Not to mention, this just shows, the amount of class Jimmie has, the classic class of Jimmie Johnson.

My wife and I went a couple of years ago and dressed up all throwbackish and halfway to the track we realized that literally no one even cared about the throwback. It was neat though seeing peoples reaction to us and taking pictures. but definitely way too hot for that honestly.
Exactly! Definitely not any of Ryan Newman’s Outback schemes looked like that. The only ones that come close are the Harvick ones. But those all had mountains on it still. Don’t know what Outback car he was looking at that compares to the John Hunter scheme.
The Harvick scheme is also a tribute to the past Busch Series champions pre 2008. Im not a harvick fan but that scheme is my favorite and i wouldn't mind seeing it in victory lane. Also love the Johnson 2006 and 2009 throwbacks.
Saw the reveal of the Jimmie Johnson’s throwback. The combo was genius. Shear genius. JJ seems to always pull off amazing throwbacks. His 2018 throwback when he shaved his beard and I believe the team went retro on the fire suits. What a class act!!!
Seeing that 77 I'd like to see a penske 2 thrown back to another dale sr car, I believe his first championship was in the 2 car. They all knocked it out of the park this year tho. That 77 is sick. You can tell Jr had some input on that one.

The Spire Motorsports/Ross Chastain #77 throwback is best in my opinion. When they unveiled it during Dale Jrs podcast he said that they used actual gold leaf for the numbers. Yes, Dale Sr did run the #77 Hi-Gain Chevy Laguna in 1976 and this throwback is spot on for that car!

My favorite throwbacks are Alex Bowman, Ross Chastain, and the GMS Racing trucks. My least favorite is Daniel Suarez car, I really don’t like it that he threw it back to him self, so as Christopher Bell. But all in all these throwbacks look great!
I completely agree with you. I had the same thoughts on Bell, Suarez and JH Nemechek. At least they could have done the Citgo car that had the black and yellow from the following year.
