Can you tell me what tool you used to remove the top v-clamp from turbo to downpipe? I have the 13mm short and long sockets. Do you recommend any extensions in particular, like flexible ones or something like a regular 6 or 8" ? To cut away the heat shielding I just need to buy a pair of "tin snips"?
What size v-band clamps do I need for both top and bottom side

I've been eyeing one of these from my 14' 335i. How is the turbo spool sound after? I know vids don't usually do it justice but I'm uber curious. PS. Found your bimmperpost write up and came here for the views!!
Idle spool sounds nice, hard to hear under load but everything seems to have amplified!! Loving it!

Thinking about getting one of these. Unless I heard wrong, did you say the V band that ws supplied was wrong?
Highly recommended! I personally ordered the wrong Vband, not the supplier.

How long did this take you? Was it your first time?
I got it done in one evening with recording this video which adds allot of time! I'd say a couple hours

Nah, it is just xDrive that is this bad. But stilla walk in the park compared to E9X xDrive Diesels, you have to remove the enginemounts and lower the subframe on those, atleast 4-5 hour job and practically impossible without a lift and proper shoptools.
Active Autowerks downpipe is CEL free so no need to remove for emissions.
Yes and its worth it. I would gladly spend an hour swapping out a downpipe to pass emissions.
