Was it easy to put the cam adjuster back together especially while on the car like that

Not too bad, especially compared to timing belt work. The number one concern I remember is the hard coolant line just above the chain case. You may have to bend it out of the way slightly (about half an inch) to have the case come out, but if you're careful, it should easily bend back into place. Thanks for asking!
