I LOVED this video! It's so nice to hear what you've learned throughout the years! Thank you for sharing! We all shouldn't forget that life is always in a constant movement, so we always evolve, learn, change and that's okay! As long as we accept that and embrace it, we take so much pressure off ourselves that we can just enjoy the ride with its ups and downs!

    1. You don’t have to have all of it figured out.
    - it’s okay to feel lost. just chill and relax.
    2. Passion is overrated.
    - passion is something you develop, not find. instead of trying to find it, build it.
    3. Keeping moving, when you feel lost.
    - just keep swimming. you got this.
    4. Comparison is the enemy.
    - stop comparing yourself to instagram artists or to anyone. you’re you. you’re amazing as well.
    5. Expectations kill creativity.
    - don’t pressure yourself on how things or how your art should be. just go with the flow and put your best effort.

That last one, “Expectations Kill Creativity”, really resonated with me. I always have an image of how I want my work to be when I finish. But, when I am done, it doesn’t match the “perfect” image in my head sometimes. Having that happen, discourages me from making more art. That in mind, I create my best work when I just roll with whatever comes out and let go of that image in my head of the “perfect” result. This video was much needed for me. Thank you.👏

Good suggestions. But I would add one big one. The one I think is the most important and works with everything you said. "Expect failure, and use it to improve." Then apply every concept Kesh brought up to adapt and learn. The thing that crippled me for decades was I would try and draw something once. And it wouldn't turn out the way I wanted, so I got frustrated and gave up, only having tried to do it one time. But recently, I tried drawing the same thing multiple times. And every time I drew it, it improved a little bit. After 4-5 tries, I actually succeeded in drawing what I was attempting. It's so obvious that I feel kind of stupid now. But I wish someone had taught me this when I was younger. Don't just draw something once. Draw it multiple times. As many times as it takes to get right. Instead of getting discouraged by a picture not coming out right, just tell yourself "that one was just practice" and do another. Each time, trying to alter the parts that didn't look right in the last one. It sounds cheesy, but it works.

The one thing I've always wanted to learn was draw things just the way I imagine them, but whenever I try it doesn't come out well at all. It's very stressful and degrading when I see other people do it and I'm not able to myself. I haven't found my style, I don't know how people do it but I hope that one day it'll come to me. It never has, I enjoy yours a lot its quirky and simple, I really love it.

I'm glad I have found your channel because it is so motivational and very helpful because sometimes when I draw I don't like how it turns out but I know I just got to try a little harder to let it be what I wanted to be and I want to say thank you and I hope you have a great day! 😊

Thank you for this. I am learning a skill right now... and I was feeling quite deflated as it didn't come out anything like those other folks who posted their work on the board. HOWEVER... you are right... I shouldn't compare myself to them... I never knew how to do this type of work and now I can. It's a win. Funny... how your inner thoughts and self beliefs can impair you.... Thanks for this. (This video was my intro to your channel). :)
