I adore Andy and his approach to subjects and the work. He’s a wonderful artist and a great teacher. I’m ready for him to give us a new class, as I’ve taken both of his existing courses.
Excellent tips. I appreciate all of your videos, sharing your process and thoughts. I have ran into the problem many times, of picking what I thought was a good image to paint only to realize it has no value (not enough light/dark, not enough shadow). I am planning to follow more of Andy's advice and do those value studies first.

I find this also a lot of colours. Why not 2 primaries from each. Then you have enough I think. And you are right. You don’t need a lot of colours. But it looks great when you are in a shop 😅

Where did you get the palette and what did it cost? Everything I've looked at like that was 60-$100 unless it was crappy plastic
