I owe my very existence to Burger King. My parents met working at one in Atlanta in 1966. Without that particular restaurant, the chances they'd ever meet goes down considerably. He was from out of state and didn't know anyone when he got there.

Burger King will always have a special place in my heart.
My older brother had slipped on ice and landed on his head causing brain bleed when he was a small child in the 1960s.
He had to have multiple brain surgeries and was in a coma for about a week. When he finally woke up. His first words to my mom was, "Quiero Whopper" (I want a Whopper).
It was a funny ending to a serious situation. But Burger King will always be royalty to us.

If anything these stories just go to show that you don't need a lot of money to start something and be successful, you have to have an idea (a unique or new idea though, not what everyone else is doing necessarily) and at least some sort of initial plan. Mainly the idea. The plan likely changes throughout the course of creation (during the implementation and execution in the early days) but these stories are interesting, because some of these people had NOTHING when they started. Warren Buffet has a few stories about people who became millionaires with only, say $2500, but they had an idea. And this is where you have to work your network and find new acquantiances.

The last thing you'd want in your Burger King burger is someone's foot fungus. But as it turns out, that might be what you get. A 4channer uploaded a photo anonymously to the site showcasing his feet in a plastic bin of lettuce. With the statement: "This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King." Admittedly, he had shoes on. But that's even worse.
The post went live at 11:38 PM on July 16, and a mere 20 minutes later, the Burger King in question was alerted to the rogue employee. At least, I hope he's rogue. How did it happen? Well, the BK employee hadn't removed the Exif data from the uploaded photo, which suggested the culprit was somewhere in Mayfleld Heights, Ohio. This was at 11:47. Three minutes later at 11:50, the Burger King branch address was posted with wishes of happy unemployment. 5 minutes later, the news station was contacted by another 4channer. And three minutes later, at 11:58, a link was posted: BK's "Tell us about us" online forum. The foot photo, otherwise known as exhibit A, was attached. Cleveland Scene Magazine contacted the BK in question the next day. When questioned, the breakfast shift manager said "Oh, I know who that is. He's getting fired." Mystery solved, by 4chan. Now we can all go back to eating our fast food in peace."

The second you see Bain Capitol you know it goes way downhill very soon after.
Also, the end sounds so good for it. Out of the four burger kings in my area, three went out of business. All of them had the worst service, and poorest food quality (stale bread, overcooked/undercooked, orders wrong, etc) of anything out there. I figured maybe it was all some rogue bad franchise owner/s and tried some in other counties, because sometimes I feel nostalgia for the food there, and they were awful experiences too, always with particularly old stale bread. I'm unsure how it's managing to do better when, in my eyes, and anyone I've talked to, it seems worse than ever.

I like how they have Poppin Fresh, the Pillsbury doughboy to explain how Mclemore and the other guy reached a deal, but when I see the Pillsbury doughboy lurking from the outside, he reminds me of the Stay Puft marshmallow man from Ghostbusters giving him a creepy yet friendly appearance.

The original Burger King is in Mattoon Illinois. You might want to revisit your history. The Hoots family started the first one and it is still in operation.

We need more Norman Brinker. He has a fascinating history of his own, and was a very cool guy. I worked at Chili's in Dallas and met him a few times. (Navy, olympics, Jack In The Box, Steak & Ale, Pillsbury, Chili's, Susan G. Komen for the Cure)

Mattoon residents Gene and Betty Hoots bought the successful Frigid Queen ice cream shop from Gene's uncle, Bill Paullin, in 1952.[1] In 1954, Gene expanded the business, adding hamburgers, French fries and other items to the menu. In 1957,[2] they fixed up a two-car parking garage behind the Frigid Queen, adding a grill and a counter for customers.[1] When it came time to give the new business behind the Frigid Queen a name, Gene wanted to go with The Hot Dames but Betty said that a queen needs a king, and chose the name Burger King instead.[1]
In 1959, after prompting by his uncle, Gene registered the name "Burger King" as a state trademark in Illinois, and the Hootses were official owners and operators of the only "Burger King" restaurant in Illinois at the time.[1]

Its an extremely hard lesson to learn and live with, that if you décide to actually help those working a nine to five job everyday along with trying to take yourself to a higher financial wage setting, most likely you will be cut out of literally everything Youve ever actually come up with in one way or another-"But that doesnt mean that you should give up or actually let them forget what You've done in the process either."

Another business in Adelaide, the Burger King Drive-In ("Service Fit For a King" was their slogan), was already operating when the American Burger King wanted to open down under in 1971.
They chose to call their franchise down in Australia "Hungry Jack's," choosing to name it after Hungry Jack, one of the many American food brands once owned by Pillsbury.
The trademark for the other "Burger King" lapsed by the 1990s, causing Burger King to open locations under their own name, but it led to a lawsuit between Hungry Jack's and Burger King, which, in essence, was almost like they were suing themself...

Not true. It was invented by a king who liked hamburgers, thus the burger King. People tried to escape from the castes dungeon whenever they smelled the hamburgers being cooked, thus the hamburgler character. The king wound up becoming friends with his palace jester, thus the Grimace character. The baconator came later after regular towns People start eating the burgers and put pork on them
