@@bila3000damn it I know this is from two years ago but an M5 is NOT PERFECT FOR ROAD TRIPS! All M cars are extremely stiff because guess what they’re focused on PERFORMANCE. Anyone who has owned, driven, or rode in an M3, M5, and an M8 knows that the non M versions are MUCH more liveable.

@@xsanguine, I believe loser125555 meant it's not a true M car meaning it doesn't have an M engine (S55 and S58 are the current ones, if I'm not mistaken). This model has an M tuned B58 engine so you do get some really nice performance. A true M car just has the M and single digit number (M3, M4, M5 etc). Models like the M340i and M550i are not true M cars, but they do come with extra performance and M style bodies. I bought an M340i in February and love it.
@@xsanguine this is a regular 3 series with the regular, non-M 6 cylinder and M badges. It does not have wider track, wheels, or body. It does not have M suspension. It's not a true M car. And don't call me a hater or anything because I drive a M140i myself.
Glad bmw finally decided to use a digital cluster feel like that was the main thing missing from the older interiors

Looking at a new style a6. They don’t look as nice outside but I love the interiors . I looked at this , the regular not bigger engine one . They seem to be really good deals money wise but I’m a little worried about reliability . But I was worried about my Benz too and in 3 years Iv driven it 130k miles lmao and had no issues but normal maintenance stuff

Hmmm.. I personally wouldn't. It has Quattro(Especially if your B8.5 has the Sport Diff.) plus that S/C Whine is phenomenal. Reliability-wise? The B8.5 is world's apart, the always leaky BMWs. I get why you'd want this, as the interior lighting does seem better/newer than that of the Audi. Sucks that you have to step up to the B9(Turbo) S4 to get the lighting/gadgetry that you see here in this BMW. In the end, it is certainly your choice and money.
Kiss Kiss from a driving and power perspective this is a good upgrade. Along with RWD Biased and a better engine and this interior is much better.
Kiss Kiss I LOVE the B8.5 and love mine, but the M340i is a much better driving car and more fun. The 340 has the torque vectoring rear diff too. Reliability wise, yes, the B8.5 is solid and mine has been flawless, but the B58 is also solid. I’ve been thinking about just keeping the S4 and getting an M340i and have both - that’s probably what I’ll do. The more I think about it, the more I don’t want to part ways with my S4. The B8/8.5 in my opinion is the best S4 yet. Not a fan of the B9, at all.

Ive had my m340i since july last year from new, only done about 1,200 odd miles in it but its brilliant. Expensive to own in the UK and run but worth every single penny

3:20- 3:30 At low rpm's what is that noise? I just bought this car and it is driving me crazy. Took it to two dealers, they keep saying it is normal. But I've never heard any car make this type of noise. It is not a turbo or forced induction noise it more sounds like belt, pulley or tensioner type noise. Drives me crazy
there is no place to really get fun with it! Come to Germany, we have no limits on most of the highways! :)

Hey, Do you think the adaptive suspension is worth the price tag? In the video, the car seemed to be quite bumpy even in the comfort drive mode. How comfortable was it compared to like BMW's flagship sedan, The 7 series suspension?

The interior design bmw now has fits the 3 series very well, but i think it’s not up to to par with the 5 and 7. Looks bad there. Looks like they made the 3 series and copied in to other cars. Whereas in mercedes everything seems to fall down from the S class to other models. With BMW it looks like it’s the other way around now

Drive one. You’ll think differently. We are leasing one. It’s sticker fully loaded is $66k. I got a JB4 on it, an intake and a Dinan exhaust. 460 HP. It’s a BEAST and drives nicer than an M3 at $20k (or more) less.

I just traded in my e90 that I drove for over 4 years (bless her soul), am I the only one who loved the turn signal that always moved back to centre? It felt so upscale and simple to use, I really miss it now that I drive a cheap economy car. (Can’t afford another bimmer atm)
God I hated those mainly because I could never figure out how to turn them off if I turned them on and didn’t turn, such as a lane change.
Must be a great car, that is until the warranty runs out. I cannot imagine being an average dude and owning that thing when it has 60k+ miles on it. Just look at the amount of tech it takes to run that car. It just can't be cheap to fix.

Sure, but this car has every option ticked. Very few would spend that much
You are paying mostly for the performance. Any new car with AWD and an acceleration that fast is going to be over 50K easily with all things considered. Now, add in all the luxury, technology, and the BMW Badge PLUS all the options ticked, and it will easily be that much. In fact, its the same with every car nowadays. A loaded up corolla or Rav 4 can easily cost near 40k after tax and other fees.

That's only for that Tanzanite Blue II metallic colour, 19" more nicer wheels and basic leather interior, in Germany/Europe and then you finally proceed to options list 😁 Here this model starts at 62.850€ vat included with basic white colour, basic 18" wheels and alcantara seats etc.. which has nice options already installed and with the most expensive options ticked this beauty costs about 90 000 €. But the feel and difference of "individual" against to "base" model is huge. And or you can choose some m performance stuff.
Not that insane. In my country you could get a 330i or maybe even a 320i to this price.

Sadly, BMW no longer offers a manual transmission option for the 330i and M340i in the United States.
They don't offer them anywhere in the world. In my country you can get a 318i with a manual, but that has 150hp. The M3 will have a manual option though.
Edit: Apparently only the 318d and 320d have manual transmissions with 147 hp and 187 hp respectively. All the gasoline models have the 8-speed ZF.
You won’t miss it. The 8 speed automatic is AMAZING. Trust me. The transmission is smarter than the driver unless you race cars professionally. Even then, those guys that test drove give the automatic rave reviews.
