    I use Q Snaps and I put a piece of Scrap Fabric all the way around underneath my Q Snaps Clamps so this way my Fabric and my Stitches are protected.

    I’m an in hand stitcher and find using hoops is not for me. So it looks like we’re opposites! When I start a project I begin by ironing the linen. I usually start at the top right hand side and work my way down the right side. When I’m done with the right side I move to the middle top (if it’s a big project) and work down then to the top left. I keep my linen rolled up to where I’m working. This method keeps the project clean and my stitches looking good. I’ve been stitching for over 35 years and this really works for me. I guess when trying a new method there is some awkwardness until muscle memory kicks in but I encourage you to give it another try… you may find you really enjoy this method. Btw, I really enjoy your channel. I look forward to it every week. ❤

      @@tattooed_stitcher I’m sorry I do not but if I come across a video, I’ll send it your way! I know it helps to see it visually. For me I keep my thumb and forefinger on top of the project and the rest of my fingers beneath. That way I can guide the thread and prevent tangles. It also helps with the tension. I find hand positioning really does make a difference in the outcome.

    Feast of Friendship is So pretty. That blue house is lovely!! If you wash the piece, or if you can't with overdyed fabric/flosses. You could mist lightly and put between two towels and press. Also, release your stitching from your frames when you finish (if you're not already.)
    Pink Sparrow is really set off by that frame! Lovely, just like you❤

    I press right side down with a slightly damp linen tea towel over the back, it seems to work, and I do not have a tight tension on my hoop when I am sewing. Hope this helps. The finish ‘s are really good. 👍🏻

    If you use Q-Snap and put felt over the stitches before snapping together, it should take care of the stitches. Hope that helps. 😊❤

      Always so fun to see all your beautiful stitching! So many that I have already, but many more that I want to buy! Plum Street is always a favorite! A great show we have been watching is called Your Honor on Netflix’s; not for the kiddos, but you will like it I am pretty sure! We love The Bear but have not watched the new episodes just yet but soon! I may have to get MAX again soon as those dragons are calling to me! I loved the 1st season! Anyway, thanks again; will look forward to seeing your progress on all that you show us and those bags are lovely as well! Thanks Jordan!

      I’ve heard about the felt trick as well with the Q-Snaps. Apparently it works really well and protects specialty stitches and silks and beads! Just make sure that the felt is thick enough.

    I just absolutely love your enthusiasm for all of your projects! Stitching is the BEST, isn’t it?!? Have a great week and enjoy all of your new starts. I’m mixing it up this month with Summer X st & Christmas is July. We live in NoCal and are in the midst of a huge heatwave…100+ for 10 ~ish days so far and our AC died 😭🥵. I am laying low, stitching & reading. 108 today and 111/112 expected for Thursday/Friday 😬🥴👎.

    Absolutely great FlossTube episode! I have been trying to get ready for fall stitching as well. I ran into a big problem with one project. I got all the called for threads and I wanted to use 46ct fabric because she is large annnnd I’m stuck on what fabric to get because I keep loosing colors in the fabric! Maybe you can give me some advice? Your bags are just next level! If it weren’t for this darn storm that took out the city I would buy the fox and the blue and yellow flower bag for sure! Maybe next time. 😊

    • @tattooed_stitcher
      @tattooed_stitcher  17 дней назад +1

      Sometimes you just can’t get around losing a color or two in the fabric but if it’s a color that is surrounded by a color that pops you are usually okay! And if I really can’t seem to get it right I’ll use the called for fabric!

    • @thepetrifiedgardener3144
      @thepetrifiedgardener3144 17 дней назад

    The only hoop that doesn't squish my stitches are Elbesee hoops. The nurge hoops are squared off on the edges but the Elbesee hoops are rounded on the edges and I think that makes all of the difference. Tehy're not expensive but I don't know if you can get them in the US. I guess you could also try sanding a rounded edge on the inside of a nurge hoop too?
