Thank you for this video. I am planning on making a portable wedding/yard arch and the base you created is exactly what I was looking for! Beautiful project.
Don't be such a cheap ass. $3 purchase. Buy two and waste one for experimenting, woodworker do things like that. Get common measurements from Google Image search of " coat tree " and click to attached furniture links provided. You need someone else to make $6 purchases and cut decisions and get basic info for you? LIKE DUH!
Really? You can't source a couple of $3 construction grade 2x4s and some nails/screws and stain? You have no idea? You should not be allowed to use power tools.
@@MrBonners If somebody is making an instruction video (for profit By the way) what’s the big deal about including measurements? And why are you watching these videos? To learn something or to fill your boring life by sniping people who are genuinely trying to learn something!
Hmmm I use some power tools. I also follow a person. Tiny woman that built her own home in Alaska. and shop. Not going to put name. But she doesnt have a coat rack. I think I would buy closer to the dimensions I wanted. Looking now I may get spindles of some kind, stair rails? My purchased coat rack screws together in 3 pieces. We bought a small compound miter saw for fixing up our retirement home. A sliding one would be nice. Can’t accommodate larger width wood. They are not that much now from when I had a wish list in the 90s. . Im not seeing this video that helpful. We are watching a process that has the wood purchases have to be ripped, no cut list or angles? You can buy square posts? As a beginner I would not recommend a skill saw free form. Worked for a construction company. Yah. Saw too many accidents by guys only required to buy a union card. I want a Kreg jig though. End product is nice though.
I also agree with the music, it's beyond terrible! Also, a materials list would be nice. It would also be nice to know where/when to use the pocket hole jig. This is definitely NOT a "how to" video!
Ok I’m going to put it here and maybe some may see it. Go look up Ana White. A tiny woman that started simple and eventually built her own shop. She has free plans and videos to match. Not for all but definitely for anything I would do. Found one of her videos looking for simple out door furniture. She has a website too with more details. She will also do the same piece using more simple tools. I just realized watching someone else yesterday they use the Kreg jig wrong. She pre drills all holes in the shop. Then assembles. Yesterday watched this guy stick his screw and drill through the Kreg jig that he clamped to his patio sofa bench as he was assembling? Without pre drilling the hole. This tells me she is right on with her instructions. She and husband eventually built their own large house in Alaska. I binge watch all the videos for months and barely through them all. She doesnt have a typical coat rack but ive watched tons of building and think I can make one. The thing I dont get is he is ripping wood? You can buy square cut wood?
Excellent footage & camera positions. Very human touch to include the blown circuit shot;-) Horrible music. Dreadfully repetitive. Make it stop. I can still hear it. Oh god please, no more...
Looks great, man! Well done 👍
I’ve been looking for something like this. Great job!
Nice job!

Great job Scott. I am very new to wood working so always looking for detailed instructions. Do you have a cut list for this project? Thanks
Very very nice
Try to make it with stodoys instructions and plans :)
i love what you did. i would love to build one myself but dont have the kind of saw you have. what do you recommend?
Patti Knechtel hi patti you could make all the cuts with a handheld circular saw, even a hand saw with a miter box if you have the patience!
What’s the cutting sizes and angles???? Thanks
May i ask how long did you make each of the legs? i don't want to make them too short. Thanks for the video.

What degree angle are the braces? This is nice, but you need more details for we amatures!
Basic elementary school level line drawing on a piece of paper. GoogleImage it or plenty of videos here on YT.
@@MrBonners not an answer.
What's the name of the video's music, and its artist?
Screw it! I’m just gonna make
One out of sticks lol
Is there a place to find your material list for this?

@@MrBonners My thoughts EXACTLY!
