It is very frustrating when random idiot guy keep yelling and pointing at you (lead singer) because the sound is not to his liking where he stands. Happened to me multiple times and does not help the show. People are retarded sometimes.
As a still performing rock musician for OVER fifty years, the first thing I thought was, I wish I could hear the vocals clearly. Sorry it pissed Kotzen off, but the complainer had a point. Of course it is not cool if the complainer was being an ass about it.
Don’t bother watching this. It’s glorifying his emotions in a negative way. He’s been on top of the mountain for ages, this is a poor attempt to take him down. It won’t happen. Move on to his catalogue of music and then go see him live to come full circle.
I want to ask a simple question. How would you feel if you were singing for someone you love very much and he or she made a gesture that you covered your ears? And what if the expression on his or her face was a frown?

It looks like the sound board guy was sleeping on the job and Ritchie couldn't hear his own vocals. Sound man was probably trying to score with some chick and Ritchie saw it which is what angered him. You can see he's tell someone to kick him out. If you're doing your job, but part of it relies on someone else to do theirs, and they're not, I can totally justify this anger.
Many musicians have been in similar situations and most don’t turn jerk on some loser in the audience. That loser did buy a ticket to see him. Sorry Kotz ,, not very impressive.
Ktoś mu tam gestykulował i o to cała afera.
I wonder what set him off? In all of the interviews I’ve seen, he’s a pretty positive and respectful guy so likely some drunk ahole. He’s a phenomenal guitar player, singer and showman!
sounds like the house vocals were mixed way too low and the fans could'nt hear the singers voice. crowd member was tryin to tell him we cant you and singer misunderstood because he was hearing himself in the monitors, happens often. might have been equipment failure or crappy sound guy.
That seems like the most reasonable account of what happened, which also makes Richie's tantrum even more idiotic. Your average person in the audience doesn't know who's responsible for sound, but the singer absolutely does. He could've easily relayed it to the sound guy.
while his response was a bit excessive, I understand his frustration. I believe he said "I'm not running the fucking sound." It seems like the woman was pressing the issue, and that must be what set Richie off. I'd never confront the band about the sound, but then again, I've played in bands for over 30 years and ran sound from stage for most of them. It's not easy to get the sound where everyone can hear it the same from anywhere. It seems like she was in a dead spot. I'm guessing they're using hired sound techs for each venue, so there's going to be some consistency problems. No way around it. It's unfortunate that Richie lost his cool. I get the impression that he's kind of moody as it is. It was a bad experience for the lady and her friends for sure.
The mans a legend. If he wants to vent at an asshole so be it. Unless your a fan of cancel culture 😂 we are all people and aint perfect. He slayed afterwards anyway
He’s good but far from a legend. Ask 100 people who Is Ritchie is you may get 5 ? Ask 100 people if they heard of EVH ,, the response will be overwhelming. That’s a legend.
Vocals were low, RK you should care about the sound quality of your show!! I couldn’t understand the song you should have told the sound guy to turn up the vocal. Very poor decision on your part. He could have addressed the crowd and asked if the sound was good.
That is nothing compared to Paul Dianno threatening to kill the house sound guy for close to seven tense minutes years back when his knee was all messed up. That was an uncomfortable situation all around at the time, but he was really a sweet guy after the show.
This is tame compared to meltdowns I've seen on stage. If it triggers you, tune in to your local adult contemporary station and leave the rockin' to the rest of us.
2 people from the audience stood right in front of the stage and in front of guitar cabs (which were really loud) and kept showing Richie that they don't hear vocals... Richie got frustrated and eventually pissed, 2 fans were then removed by security before the next song.

Wow what a singer! If the guy in the audience was asking Ritchie to turn up vocals (and probably doesnt know whos job it is to do that.) Ritchie could have given the sound man the flack not the FAN
It is very frustrating when random idiot guy keep yelling and pointing at you (lead singer) because the sound is not to his liking where he stands. Happened to me multiple times and does not help the show. People are retarded sometimes.
I don't know what they did but they pissed Richie off big time.
So what??? Richie is a natural badass! Hell, then you don't wanna see me and my temper if someone heckles me...
anyone know what he got mad at?
.. and at that moment i decided to call John,
As a still performing rock musician for OVER fifty years, the first thing I thought was, I wish I could hear the vocals clearly.
Thanks. I'm out.
Exactly.
I've seen a few performers have off nights for whatever reason and it isn't a fair representation of this person
Positive way! He’s human🤷♂️
What an Ahole
@actionfigureShowcase exactly
I want to ask a simple question.
How would you feel if you were singing for someone you love very much and he or she made a gesture that you covered your ears?
And what if the expression on his or her face was a frown?
oh so his bass player chick covered her ears? He has got to lose her, love on the road is suppose to be 1 - 3 nights max.
Why are the vocals so low?
jhhg
Dead zone for the PA, there are some areas that a lot of line arrays might not cover all the venue
Was that Rikki Rocket he was yelling at?😅
Why was Richie angry?
W pewnym momencie pani pokazała Richiemu gestami (palce do uszu itd.) że go słabo słychać.
Ja byłem osobiście: zaskoczony, rozgoryczony, zażenowany i rozczarowany czymś takim.
Ot i wszystko. Fajnie, co?
Gość się zachował jakby go ktoś szklanymi butelkami obrzucił. Wstyd
I dont believe in your story
Fake story
It looks like the sound board guy was sleeping on the job and Ritchie couldn't hear his own vocals. Sound man was probably trying to score with some chick and Ritchie saw it which is what angered him. You can see he's tell someone to kick him out. If you're doing your job, but part of it relies on someone else to do theirs, and they're not, I can totally justify this anger.
Many musicians have been in similar situations and most don’t turn jerk on some loser in the audience. That loser did buy a ticket to see him.
Sorry Kotz ,, not very impressive.
Brave savior 89
That’s nothing! I seen Mike lose it on stage. Happens to the best of us!
Ritchie is the shit. Y'all know it's true.
He is the shit, or he is shit?!? 🤔
Take out "the" and you're right.
If he has anything to be frustrated about, it’s that his vocals are way too low in the mix.
Sounds damn good to me what's the issues?
Then completely shreds ballz!
what happened i didnt understand
Ritchie's bad day
Why was he angry?
His sound was all screwed up! Couldn't blame him.
Ktoś mu tam gestykulował i o to cała afera.
That’s crazy I’ve never seen him act like that. maybe Ritchie took it as she didn’t want to hear it ect instead of she couldn’t actually hear him.
What happened?
Sooo... what happened?
Big deal! It DID sound muddy....if it wasnt obvious to the soundperson, by then....🤷
I wonder what set him off?
If he knows the truth.
He will surely apologize.
while his response was a bit excessive, I understand his frustration.
Seems to me to be the sound guy he's tweaked at, seeing as the sound is all over the place. What is wrong with people commenting here?
please, explain what is happened!!!!
Nothing special...
He couldn't hear his monitors and chose the most unprofessional way possible to improve it. I'm sure he regrets his behaviour.
@@mxgr194he's an asshole. I'm sure he does that all the time
That was not the case, he's tallking to someone at the audience , the monitor engineer usually works on one side of the stage@@mxgr194
That's not how you deal with it.
Long tour, long stress...
@@JayLarry-ek8rz he's a legend to me, as is Eddie.
We only get pissed like this over sound, women, and not getting paid on time.
What the hell the guy said to him anyways?
Richie goes Karen
Didn't realize he's using Marshall amps now.
Why not just talk through the mic ?
Vocals were low, RK you should care about the sound quality of your show!! I couldn’t understand the song you should have told the sound guy to turn up the vocal. Very poor decision on your part. He could have addressed the crowd and asked if the sound was good.
You can't deal with the PA while you're on stage. You don't even know how it sounds out there. It's someone else's job.
Soundman.. grrr
🤟🔥🙏
What was he so salty about?
He's human?
That is nothing compared to Paul Dianno threatening to kill the house sound guy for close to seven tense minutes years back when his knee was all messed up. That was an uncomfortable situation all around at the time, but he was really a sweet guy after the show.
when? Where See RUclips Video?
I saw Paul a couple times. He just kept asking the crowd for cocaine over and over, hilarious.
@@bbc_nanm Several years ago ( obviously ). Springfield, Virginia, at the now defunct Jazz night club.
This is tame compared to meltdowns I've seen on stage. If it triggers you, tune in to your local adult contemporary station and leave the rockin' to the rest of us.
Context?
unknown. 2 fans were then removed from the venue by security
Israel flags
2 people from the audience stood right in front of the stage and in front of guitar cabs (which were really loud) and kept showing Richie that they don't hear vocals... Richie got frustrated and eventually pissed, 2 fans were then removed by security before the next song.
