Richie Kotzen must be one of the most underrated artists! I don’t understand why he isn’t much more famous. He is one of the best guitarist and vocalist this world has to offer! And should play stadiums.
Agreed, but stadiums kill great rock bands. If you want to see these guys see them in an as small as possible venue and you'll get volume, connection and excitement. I just like how they're really competent but don't forget that rock should be simple and gutsy.
This just appeared in my feed. No idea who they are but they sound fkn amazing plus it's an original song in 2023 that sounds like something from the early to mid 80's. I'm hooked.
I love the way this song sort of went off the rails during the instrumental section...the video kinda reminds me of the Time Stand Still video, modernized obviously.
Only three musicians but perhaps the greatest "super group" ever assembled! All three are kings in their own right! And Richie deserves a lot more from the music industry. He's loved by fellow musicians, but the industry has done him wrong for so many years. He may be content in his life now, but it doesn't mean that he can't still get the accolades he deserves.
I am all about Richie Kotzen being my favorite artist ever. I mean his guitar playing, vocals, and songwriting abilities are just off the chart, and as far as I’m concerned, nobody hold a candle to him in any one of those categories. That said every member of this band are just absolutely phenoms.. bravo. They continue to get better every album. Best trio ever in my opinion
Great Billy who steps aside to entertain the other two talents. stepping aside and doing a simple job to get the others out is a huge sign of greatness
I love how Billy approaches his Bass ability with Sons of Apollo.... He totally delivers the John Entwhistle approach when it comes with the songs with that band
Man I`ve been listening and digging the new CD 3 so much Thank God there are still bands playing this kind of Kick ass Rock and Roll Music. All band members SHINE on this CD. So Rocking with great melodies and Hooks. I`ve been a fan since the begining and They just seem to get better and better. Rock On Dogs Rock On
The Winery Dogs are the best Rock Band out in the world today. All three are famous men Richie Kotzen guitar. Billy Sheehan Bass and Mike Portnoy Drums
Everyone is talking about Nuno, and Extreme, and rightly so it’s blazing. From a guitarist perspective, I get it, with practice, I could play it. Ritchie? Sounds like Chris Cornell when singing, and a better Jeff Beck when playing maybe even some Danny Gatton too. I won’t even try to play it.Brilliant.
Beautiful song and the video rules! Richie's voice is amazing and his solo is very lyrical and impressive. Mike Portnoy is a god on drums, while Billy Sheehan is the master on bass. Phenomenal band, live or in the studio.
As with EVERYTHING Kotzen does with his whole self, That Solo is beyond perfection. Not to mention the Rhythm Section is as solid as EVERY foundation should be. 3 Virtuosos=the Whinery Dogs. Great MFing Band, Period.
I only discovered this line up about a year ago and this is another really fine track from 3 great artists, I must say though that Richies solos are filling a void left by Jeff Beck for me. Keep them coming guys you have found your sound. Top notch.
Ritchie Kotzen.... Holy shit... I've been a fan since I saw him in the back of Guitar For The Practicing Musician back in the late 80s early 90s. He was so sick then... his style has morphed since then, and his voice...my man reminds me of Chris Cornell (may he R.I.P.).
I didn't want to be the one to say it. It was finally nice to hear Billy Sheehan's Bass, sound like a Bass. He's talented as all hell, but not once have I ever liked the sound of his Bass. Scooped up mids, bottled up, no bottom end whatsoever. To actually hear lower tones come from him, made me listen to the whole song. Unbeknownst to me, it possesses an incredible guitar solo. So thanks Billy, because ever since Talas, I've kinda tuned you out, cuz you don't sound like a Bass. Now you do. :)
cool video guys....I still cannot believe I got to see you live in New Hampshire at the start of a literal World Wide Tour!!! Hopefully you'll be back touring again in the US Northeast some day.
For me at the moment the by far best Rock band around. 50 or more decades of Rock music packed into a lot of excellent, but also different songs, played from awesome, talented and skilled musicians, who not only do, what they can, but can, what they do! I especially love all this decently used 1970's Jazz Rock influences and harmonies, which you meanwhile hardly hear anywhere else, which make these songs even better, without altering the (Heavy) Rock character too much. Quite apart from the skills, concerning the instruments, Mr. Kotzen meanwhile also became for me one of the best rock singers since Chris Cornell! A really great, unique lead singer and an awesome guitarist at once is a rare combination, even less at this very high level. Just like great wine, these guy get better with age! I hope, this collaboration still will last for some time, this really is an excellent team. The best Power Trio ever in my opinion.
In today's music industrial dynamics, it'd need some explaining and background musical understanding to realize that this, right here, is above average and is a masterpiece, skill, and composition-wise. this saddens me.
Lucky enough to catch "The Dogs" in London recently. Hugely memorable gig which had me grinning from ear to ear. Surely one of the most innovative and musically adept bands of the Century. 😎
That solo is one of the best of all time. It is so in the pocket, groovy, unique, arpeggiated, fast, beautiful, bluesy, original, technical, musical, well written .. so amazing. One of the best ever.
Must see these guys when they play Glasgow in October, what can you say about Portnoy and Sheehan other than they are absolutely immense. It is however Kotzen that grabs my attention, been listening to him for years, they guy is a truly incredible guitarist with a great vocal style. Three guys at the top of their career, briliant.
***MIKE PORTNOY RULES AND RULES ALL***
Please do MORE LIKE THIS!
I love the people who think Billy is laying back on this, turn up your headphones folks he is slaying this deceptive groove
That's the first thing I noticed without headphones. Billy is literally a genius on bass
And an ah-mazing human as well ♥️🥰
Its brutally beautiful
Kotzen sings with so much Soul!
Please don’t take to long to release another album IV 😎

The Legendary Three Kings has still kicking the music scenes ❤️🤘
My favorite song on III!
Love the comments so far. There are some very smart people that claim Winery Dogs. I am proud to be one of them.
From song writing to guitar work unmatched NOBODY doing like this trio! NOBODY!
Guitar solo is awesome
Whew, that solo was dang tasty! Superb!
Damn. That solo. People talk about Nuno being the outstanding rock guitarist right now and I do love his playing, but this is on another level.
Two are so different in style that we can't compare them :)
Damn. That solo. Yes, that amazing solo. It is so everything, so musical and unique. It blows me away. I think its one of the greatest solos ever.
Total diferent styles i like Richie much More and he have and amazing voice
Richie is great and all, but he's no Nuno.
Nuno loves Ritchie too. Glad good guitar players give him respect
Jesus that solo was the best I’ve heard in years 🔥
This just appeared in my feed. No idea who they are but they sound fkn amazing plus it's an original song in 2023 that sounds like something from the early to mid 80's. I'm hooked.
you can basically follow richie kotzen career start to finish and find a lot of great stuff!
PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like that they all are keeping a simple groove that they are all locked in. None of them are playing too busy or obnoxious.
Damn Kotzen's playing is always so damn clean. He's by far the most underrated guitarist in the business.
Yes !!!! The most underrated!!
with Jake E Lee
Spot on Sir
i think he is well respected, I'm not a guitarist but I know his name long time
They are on the level, that’s why is just great.
A legendary band that knows how to bring it!
Again, as great as the music is, Ritchie's voice is the ultimate glue to this excellent music.
Now....THAT'S what up!
Slay'n it boys!!
I love the way this song sort of went off the rails during the instrumental section...the video kinda reminds me of the Time Stand Still video, modernized obviously.

Agreed. He's got the talent and charisma to be a household name...
Actually, there are 2 guitars often. And even maybe a synth during the chorus.
I am all about Richie Kotzen being my favorite artist ever. He’s like Chris Cornell (RIP) with cleaner timbre. He’s like Nuno with more exotic scales, and the band has unbelievable restraint.
the sound it's phenomenal, that phaser sound it's nailed
@@DFmar1986it’s probably his RK 5 Flyrig. I have it and can produce that sound with the Roto function
My new religion
New RUSH!
Looking forward to see them in Berlin - October 2023 - 🎸🎸🎸
Great Billy who steps aside to entertain the other two talents. stepping aside and doing a simple job to get the others out is a huge sign of greatness
Well said! 😄
There was only room for one hat in this video, as well. Billy, again, rises to the occasion by stepping to the side.
I love how Billy approaches his Bass ability with Sons of Apollo....
He totally delivers the John Entwhistle approach when it comes with the songs with that band
Touché
My favorite rock bassist of all time! He brings the best out of everyone!
great track for live impro
The base line is dope
super song!
The Best Band of rock of the last 10 years. Original rock, great songs, perfect harmony in musicality and virtuosity
Man I`ve been listening and digging the new CD 3 so much Thank God there are still bands playing this kind of Kick ass Rock and Roll Music. All band members SHINE on this CD. Brilliant band. Reminds me of Jeff Beck Group and Cream. Solid rhythm lines.
When people say "super group" this is the band that comes into my head.
The Winery Dogs are the best Rock Band out in the world today. All three are famous men

Cowbell on the foot pedal!! That's a first for me. Super cool🤟 All around badass.
Beautiful song and the video rules! Richie's voice is amazing and his solo is very lyrical and impressive. Mike Portnoy is a god on drums, while Billy Sheehan is the master on bass. Phenomenal band, live or in the studio.
Yeah, he tries hard to sound like Cornell.
Hey, it's the Cameo dude! "Vince Palamara, Vince Palamara, Vince Palamara"
Complete with the bass line from Strange Kind of Woman by the Deeps in the verses.
These guys need to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as solo artists & Winery Dogs
Let's cheer for Kotzen, R. Beach, and Bettencourt! What solos they have brought this year!
As with EVERYTHING Kotzen does with his whole self, That Solo is beyond perfection. Not to mention the Rhythm Section is as solid as EVERY foundation should be. 3 Virtuosos=the Whinery Dogs. Great MFing Band, Period.
Going to fridge and grab a cold one and watch again! Good Stuff!
la mejor banda hoy en día, en 2023
Wow
Crazy good guitar playing. Jesus christ
Excellent.
Another perfectly crafted tune with master musicians who play to serve the song. Well done, gentlemen.
I’m so happy they did a music video for the song. They got to do Lorelei music video next.
Thank God you guys are keeping rock n' roll alive. That was amazing!
Never thought about it that way. But who else is doing it?
@@2204JCM Taylor Swift LMAO! There are hardly any good (American) progressive rock/metal bands left.

The Jeff reference is on it. Totally agree!
Have you done much digging on Richie's solo career yet? He's put out hundreds of songs and most are pretty good with a wide variety of styles.
@@josiahgust I'll start digging thru YT, thanks. He just hasn't been on my radar until WD's.

Really digging this! Finally, a bass tone from Billy that I really like, too!

Strong as the song is all around, I was seriously in love with the bass tone I was hearing in my headphones.
Is it only I that can here Strange Kind of Woman in the verses on the bass?

Brilliant guitarist Ritchie Kotzen playing a solo that reminded me of😮 #GOATGuitarist Jeff Beck. as well That Portnoy/Sheehan backbone is solid.
