Your accent is so beautiful, I could listen to you talk all day! And this tutorial is wonderful. I have been wanting to make these for a long time but was concerned about sitting on my couch or in office chair and having the back tie dig into my back. As soon as you mentioned elastic and sitting in an office chair, I about died and went to heaven! This is exactly what I needed. And I love that you got straight to the point and explained everything so easily.
I love that you show every step, including showing how to make darts! I'm a true beginner and I really appreciate that you don't assume any background sewing knowledge!
I agree with everyone else, this is a lovely tutorial. It is a simple/comfortable pattern and your plan and work is clearly understandable. Thank you so much for sharing.
I do like your version. The darts to give shape. And the elastic in the back. With the back waist band being elastic I’m thinking would make it much easier to pull down when using the toilet. 😁
This is so clever! I just started learning how to sew, and your tutorial was well done and made me feel confident enough to try to sew my own wrap trousers like this :)
Dear Madam Seamstress: I just decided to go looking for instructions for wrap-around pants. I' haven't made many pairs of pants, and I haven't made any at all using a machine. The ones I have made I designed myself (a dubious distinction). Anyway, this is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. I feel I will easily be able to follow your instructions because they seemed clear. I like how you explained, for example, why you put darts in the pants. I also want to say that I give you a lot of credit for making this video in a language other than your first language. I don't know if I would have the gumption. Anyway, in case it will help you, there were a few times when I thought you were talking about the crotch of the pants but it sounded like you were saying crouch. Also, if you say either, "This is what it looks like" or "This is how it looks" (instead of saying "This is how it looks like"), you'll sound more like a native speaker of English. I haven't made any wrap-around pants yet, but this video definitely made such a thing seem more within my reach. Once I've made them, I'll let you know how it went.
@@judithedwards3089 no there is no pattern You simply take your hip measurements as a width and follow instructions as I described, it is really easy to make.
