That was AMAZING!!!! Truly inspiring. Verve has remained my favorite band for over 30 years now and this has got to be hands down the most amazing cover I have ever witnessed. Love ANS and Lifes An Ocean. Thank you!!!
20 years I've never got bored of this tune - crazy to think how young they were and all the subtleties that get thrown in all the live versions. I think the video / America tour just tops the Jules Holland version as my favourite recording especially with the rappers delight reprise at the end. Love it 🙌
@@jptovee yeah, but it seems very versatile even with a Les Paul. I'm totally impressed with it, dynamics and tone is almost like the real thing. Anyway, please make more videos, great content sir..
Difficult to say - I think a crunchy overdrive/ distortion, reverb and tube amp would do the trick - a modeller will have all the amps and pedals to try out but I would go for an amp over modelling for the feedback and cleans
@@jptovee thanks for the reply! just started using my fender twin reverb with a boss bd2 and dd3 and using the twins reverb, does the trick! again, love your covers!
Thanks - it's the one from the Verve video / Do Not Panic. I always call them the Detroit bootlegs so you might have already listened to it under another name: ruclips.net/video/cpBDJQDgeBQ/видео.html
Cheers! Strymon Big Sky and Timeline for the delay / wet side which I send through the loop of a Rocker 15. My direct signal goes through a bunch of cheap knock-off gear: a Sonicake Wah / Volume, Donner Blues Driver and a Fender Pugilist. I also have a Digitech Freqout on the board but don't think I used it on this one.
@@zammozimm3120 haha - yeah and I keep saying I will. I'll get round to doing one this year, was going to try setting a camera up for the pedalboard on this one, but there is only so much time I can spend on these vids unfortunately

Last minute is great. Love you are using the Whammy.
this song demands a Strat 👌😎
Brilliant.
Hey man, love your covers! What pedals would cover the ground for most of the northern soul stuff? Thanks.

Amazing! Any idea where can I find the Detroit bootleg?

Great cover, you have Lace pickups in this Strat? The red, blue, silver set? Or golds?
Cheers - yeah it's a Deluxe' 94 Strat which are fitted with the red, blue silver lace p'ups.
@@jptovee cool I have the same pickups on one of my guitars, they seem to work very well for this song
Cómo dicen al final de la canción "that was fucking amazing"
What effects do you use mate. you have nailed this. 👏
