You have to love the internet. Shortly after posting the video to some Facebook groups, THE authority on all things Kodak Retina, Dr. David Jentz (he literally wrote the books on the topic), commented on the post with some corrections and helpful suggestions:
'We used the term "Nr." 119, not "Type" 119 in the proper historic model designation (production code) of this particular camera. ... Using "Type" for any pre-war / early wartime Retina or Retinette is a historic error first made at the Kodak Patent Dept. Museum. "Type" is not found on any Kodak AG until post-war camera production.'
"Kodak AG was formed in 1927 with Kodak acquiring Glanzfilm plant in Berlin-Koepenick. Kodak AG purchased the Dr. August Nagel Camerawerk in December 1931, made Dr. Nagel general manager and the new plant was named: Kodak AG Dr. Nagel-Werk."

Great to see a fellow South African cover the Kodak Retina series, they are truly wonderful cameras, I am yet to finish my first roll of film in my Retina Nr. 126. These older Kodak cameras really make you realize how spoiled you are with newer cameras that automatically advance the film counter and cock the shutter in one movement amongst other things instead of manually having to advance the film, cock the shutter, and advance the film counter after every picture taken XD
Thanks, bru! Yes, having used the RB67, and even Sinar Ps etc in my early career still shooting analogue, I was adept at shooting cameras with multiple steps involved in advancing from one frame to the next, but the range focus of these antiques still knock me for a six.
I collect these cameras and find them very well made but delicate at the same time. The early models have uncoated lens, and a sunshade is necessary to avoid the glares that are typical of these early lenses. There are many models and production variants that can be confusing to the collector and often are identified incorrectly because of this. Besides the Retina, there are also the Retinettes that are a simplified line of models made by Kodak for the consumer market. There are several groups on Flickr and one Facebook that I belong to that are very inspiring and educational. Great video and keep up the good work!
Thank you for your feedback! I have a 1b as well, but I am not an expert on these. I plan to do a video with Dr. David Jentz who is considered the Retina expert once I get to do a video about the other one. I am on a couple of groups on Facebook, and I must say, the passion there is real!
119 is my favourite Retina model. Have fun!

Thank you! I acquired a 1b as well, but have not really spent time on it. The 119 is great. It just feels so good to handle! My knowledge and experience of Retinas are still quite limited.
I found one today for 100 dollars in Bosnia, I don't know if buy it or no, I have a Rollei 35 as a portable camera now
It is something completely different to the Rollei, so you will have a different kind of fun with it! I don't think $100 is a bad price, to be honest. If it is in good condition, you will get much joy out of it still.
