The best way to get rid of any cooler stink is about 1 Table spoon of vanilla extract in a gallon of hot water. Clean it with Dawn dishwashing liquid, then, let the vanilla extract and water sit in the closed up cooler for a couple of hours.

More times than not a fish can actually spit the hook including trebles out in a few days including if its gut hooked. I learned this a couple years ago based on a study where they actually hooked fish with lures and some type of GPS tracker and no matter where they hooked fish in most cases the fish was able to spit the lure out in less than 2 days

I really hope that's true cause I hate when I cant get a hook out and have to cut line or get broke off. Doesn't happen often but I always feel kinda bad when I do.

I'll be down the 1st week of June 2019. Been doing is for a few years now, but always looking for some good fishing tips. Thanks for the videos.

It is cxeceedingly rare to catch redfish in NC beChes. We catch them in SC but rarely in the ole north state. Every time I see you catch one I really wish they were here. Do you ever like to fish with vintage surf fishing tackle? You should see my collection. Great video!

    • @drkrm

Christopher Jenkins What happened to the redfish in N.C. ? The IGFA World Record (94 lbs. 2 oz) was caught in Avon, N.C. In 1984. There’s 19 line classes of world record redfish and 17 of those came from N.C. All caught between 1958 and 2018. I would think the redfishing would still be good over there.

The point is knowing how to feed ourselves, not what is 'legal' and not what fishing snobs approve of. It's a distraction from knowing why we do this- restrictions and wardens are to be accounted for (and endured when one has that luxury), but poachers from the Queen's Forests hunt and fish to EAT.

I might be wrong but all those large record redfish caught on NC beaches were all caught on the outer banks. You almost never catch or see one anywhere else. Most recently these redfish have disappeared. I have no idea why but it seems vouch fewer are being caught now. Almost no one I know is catching them. Hopefully things will improve.

These youngsters really should adopt the notion that TIME is money. When making vids be mindful of your audience. You simply must grab attention and hold it. And, for a viewer who is new to your channel, you must establish "street cred". Why would you waste time showing a dirty cooler? To convince a viewer that you're sloppy, lazy or both? How did that help me? I came for instruction. Not a friend. Not a chat. Lost me at the cooler. Why would I come back? Personally, I have done that with a cooler. I damned sure wouldn't let my friends see it much less a stranger. This fella might be a great teacher, I'll never know.
