😁 "Top Water Spook!!!" This was a fun video bro. I wish we could catch Redfish in NY but I don't mind taking a trip to Alabama to go catch me some Redfish. Keep on inspiring
The best way to get rid of any cooler stink is about 1 Table spoon of vanilla extract in a gallon of hot water. Clean it with Dawn dishwashing liquid, then, let the vanilla extract and water sit in the closed up cooler for a couple of hours.
More times than not a fish can actually spit the hook including trebles out in a few days including if its gut hooked. I learned this a couple years ago based on a study where they actually hooked fish with lures and some type of GPS tracker and no matter where they hooked fish in most cases the fish was able to spit the lure out in less than 2 days
I really hope that's true cause I hate when I cant get a hook out and have to cut line or get broke off. Doesn't happen often but I always feel kinda bad when I do.
I really enjoyed this video. Keep up the good work. I plan on emailing you whenever my family and I visit Orange Beach. We would love to book a beach fishing trip.
Only get to spend one week each year down there. We stay pretty close to Fort Morgan, and surf fish that area pretty hard, all the way to the point at the Mobil Bay inlet. I'll be down the 1st week of June 2019. Been doing is for a few years now, but always looking for some good fishing tips. Thanks for the videos.
It is cxeceedingly rare to catch redfish in NC beChes. We catch them in SC but rarely in the ole north state. Every time I see you catch one I really wish they were here. Do you ever like to fish with vintage surf fishing tackle? You should see my collection. Great video!
Christopher Jenkins What happened to the redfish in N.C. ? The IGFA World Record (94 lbs. 2 oz) was caught in Avon, N.C. In 1984. There’s 19 line classes of world record redfish and 17 of those came from N.C. All caught between 1958 and 2018. I would think the redfishing would still be good over there.
That battle looks a bit heavy will the pole atleast maybe something with a bit more action on those swimming mullets might do the trick or a nice bucktail nice video buddy
Enjoy your videos man! Was really hoping you would have told the old boy holding a fish by its gills that you're going to release is a no-no.. But tight lines none the less
hey man dont feel to bad like u said he aint too far over! i will keep one around 28 if i didnt get any fish but I dont like keeping one over 30 for sure !
Great vid sir! I want to take my boys surf fishing in the Gulf Shores\Orange Beach area. Where are the public access areas? Thanks... I've learned a lot from watching your vids.
The point is knowing how to feed ourselves, not what is 'legal' and not what fishing snobs approve of. It's a distraction from knowing why we do this- restrictions and wardens are to be accounted for (and endured when one has that luxury), but poachers from the Queen's Forests hunt and fish to EAT.
Great video "topwater" and nice red "topwater" don't feel bad for keeping a legal fish "topwater" that may have " topwater" died. Take it home and grill that thing up. We where down there last June and slayed the flatys and reds. Miss the beach a lot thanks for Another good video. Keep them coming
BamaBeachBum Fishing Yes. I been catching several pompado but I still add a sand flea fishbite to the hook. Seems like I get larger ones that way. I just got a go pro and learning how to use it. Lol. But good luck. Btw. I did call you out on the 7 day fishing for survival challenge. Haha. When You complete it. Challenge someone else u desire to do it that makes videos. Good luck bro. Lol
RipLine Fishing awesome! I’ll have to try that out! And yeah man, I will have to try it out sometime! I just don’t get to fish very many times a week so I’d probably starve. Lol
BamaBeachBum Fishing. It has a couple hard days in that 7. But I will learn more on fishing when u really need it. Also it’s a fun challenge for all them fishing addicts out there to try. Good thing I didn’t challenge you to to the ice bucket challenge. Hahahaha.
I might be wrong but all those large record redfish caught on NC beaches were all caught on the outer banks. You almost never catch or see one anywhere else. Most recently these redfish have disappeared. I have no idea why but it seems vouch fewer are being caught now. Almost no one I know is catching them. Hopefully things will improve.
I do save the liquid from GULP!. It does work fairly well for impregnating plastic baits. The spray on stuff isn't too bad either but it gets pricey too because it has to be applied a lot.
Dan Hillman I would think it would work well. Definitely want to test out some baits that are cheaper and maybe make the juice last a while to cut the cost.
@@BamaBeachBum I know this is a really late reply that probably could be posted on one of your newer videos but Zmans with procure gel work amazing. I love the zman slim swimz, paddle tails, and curly tails the most.
Please send me the full address of this place where you fishing so I put it in the Navigator and I come from Chicago is it possible to drive the car to the sandy beach
These youngsters really should adopt the notion that TIME is money. When making vids be mindful of your audience. You simply must grab attention and hold it. And, for a viewer who is new to your channel, you must establish "street cred". Why would you waste time showing a dirty cooler? To convince a viewer that you're sloppy, lazy or both? How did that help me? I came for instruction. Not a friend. Not a chat. Lost me at the cooler. Why would I come back? Personally, I have done that with a cooler. I damned sure wouldn't let my friends see it much less a stranger. This fella might be a great teacher, I'll never know.
Lol thanks for the lecture and your complete lack of understanding of how social media works. When you get a chance with your limited time, drop a link to your massively successful social media following you’ve built so I can get some tips.
Cool channel. Looks like you’re just getting going. You might want to put out tips, tricks, rigs, how to read the beach etc. get you more subs. Check out thresherfishing he’s got it figured out.
Thanks dude! I’ve got a few videos out there with tips and tricks. Just takes time to get it all going. And yes, I follow Thresher. He’s got a good thing going!

lol! Ole Larry getting it done on the walmart drop rig and squid combo!
+hardstepps lol, yep! Same rig I caught my very first red on! Before I knew any better!
Another great video man! Very entertaining even though you only caught one lol.
I really enjoyed this video. Keep up the good work. I plan on emailing you whenever my family and I visit Orange Beach. We would love to book a beach fishing trip.
Thank you! And please do! I would love to hook up and fish together! Stay Bummy!
Right before you set the hook on that red, did you feel him swallow? or did he just take it and that's your reaction?
Your videos are fantastic, very informative, entertaining, keep up the good work, I forgot to add educational to as well l, thank you

Lol, always ends up sucking up my attention!
Top water is great. In the surf even better.
No tape measure? Measure your rod from butt to the eyelets, or use tape to mark off limit size on the rod.
I love your channel so much I subbed 😁

Nice very nice fish Larry !!!
Maybe you will set a world record and get a flounder....”On TOP WATER...”
😂
There it is.... the next challenge!!

Great Videos, I’d love to go fishing with you one day .
I put tape on my rod 27 inches from the bottom so I don’t need a measure..27 inches Is a top slot in fla
I’ll keep a 27” red all day
Try apple cider vingar for cleaning smells from the cooler. Works great
B3, props on the honesty of all your videos....By far my favorite surf channel! Do you have Patreon?
Bama this video you kill.it with the TOP WATER part.
Today i caught a 25 inch red off the pamlico sound at ocracoke NC
Could you just tell me what rod combo Larry was using...!
You did good, you did the right thing. Most would just toss the fish. Your a good environmental fishermen, no worries mate.
If you're fishing from the beach, get an 11ft Lamiglass surf rod. It's a rocket launcher.
Bro I lmao at “top waters!!!”

Do you also catch a lot in the summer months as well?
I want a stay bummy hat
Do you normally keep fish over slot?? Is it legal in Alabama? Lol
Only when fwc are not around. It's the old fillet and release technique 😉
@@scotchyelper3402 I know in Texas you're allowed 1 over slot if you have a tag.
Hello Brother, where exactly are you fishing? I believe I've seen you before

Have you ever wondered if flounder ever practice getting out of the sand fast so they can nab a meal?
Nice video man!!! 👌🏽
+KyleForAwhile thanks dude!
Great video! What tackle were you using this trip?
Help me understand. AL has a slot reg on reds but you are allowed to keep an over slot fish? So ... what's the point of the slot?
Is your backpack made for tackle or camera geat
Flounder in harbors inlets. Large reds and bluefish in surf tiderunners benefit from my experience. Keep pluggin
You are the internet expert.
Nice vid. Like the banter. Need to stop apologizing so much. Next vid please.
I’m sorry. Lol
Wait for it!!! Top Water......
What does "over slot" mean? Thanks.
16- 27 inch red fish is considered a slot. Anything over 27 inches is considered a "bull" red.
16-27 inches is a slot... Anything 27" and over is a bull.
Yeah yeah you said that already.
It's getting to be where you can't enjoy a little solitude while catching a fish, without someone asking you questions and invading your space.
Pretty cool video thank you for sharing ! Quick question what’s your set up I’m new to saltwater

Yes sir!
Got a spot down there wanting to go this week but not sure about this after storm wind
WHAT S THE SIZES OF REDS TO BE KEEP? 18 OVER O. 26 IS OVER.
Alberto Reyes lol
Jig tipped with anything squid shrimp cutbait works peace
Gulp is so expensive though. Try different lures for an experiment.
I agree. I have an idea to keep some of the juice and soak some of the cheap $1 pack of curly tail grubs in it to see if it’s as effective.
