Man. I was in a bad wreck back in 2018. Summer of 2019 me and the family took the camper to gulfshores. I was healed up but had a small procedure done on my foot prior to the trip and was unable to get in the water because of possible infection. Anyhooo. While I was sitting under the tent on the beach watching everybody else enjoy the water I saw a guy surf fishing, I had never given it much thought even though I live an hour from the Mississippi gulf coast, It spiked my interest and I found your videos, and I'm hooked. I'm planning on trying to get some gear together and giving it a shot this spring. Thanks for the videos, hopefully I can book a trip with you for me and my family next time we go to gulfshores.
I have found all your video’s to be very informative and helpful. You impress me with your honesty. You actually inform us if you do or don’t know how something is going to work. Good stuff, man. Really good stuff!!
Thank you for posting this! I have this on in the background of my desk job, and it is refreshing! Also, my family and I will be visiting Gulf Shores soon.
I love fishing at the point of Fort Morgan. It's about 1 mile from the access road to the point, which is why I built an electric beach cart to haul all the gear. I watch for schools of fish surfacing, and throw a heavy spoon right in the middle of the action. Works every time.
Hey man, I just moved to Spanish Fort from West Mobile. I used to go to Dauphin Island to wade fish but am looking for something in Baldwin County. What do you suggest for this time of year?
awesome videos man. I found your channel two weeks ago, and found out I've been surf fishing all wrong all these years lol. What baits did you use in this video
Thank you! Since redfish have such big tough mouths it makes it a pretty easy surface to remove any type of hook. It’s the trout and bluefish with the smaller mouths that those trebles make life more difficult
I don’t fish the ocean I live in Doniphan Missouri I fish lakes and streams. But I’m going to Alabama this next week for a trip and I’m bringing my rods. I’m just gonna use the red and white jigs or spooks. But can you put your finger in a red fish or a lady fish. Just wondering
Yes, the redfish you need to be a little careful with. They don’t have teeth but some sand paper like mouths. It can still scrape you up. But if you are careful it’s fine.
I don't know how it would work in salt water, but I put a small dot of super glue on my jig head and it holds my soft baits right in place. Maybe try that out.
BamaBeachBum Fishing sweet! I’m from north Alabama but we visit gulf shores every summer.. never got to fish over at fort Morgan but definitely gonna give it a shot this year! Keep up the vids so I can figure the fish out! Lol
@@BamaBeachBum I'll be danged! I'm using the exact same gear inshore here on the east coast. I also have a 7.5 foot with the Battle 2 and just bought a 2500 Battle 2 paired with a lighter thinner 7 foot rod. I'm a Penn kinda guy.

awesome videos man. I found your channel two weeks ago, and found out I've been surf fishing all wrong all these years lol. What baits did you use in this video

Nice Red
Rusty Brooks thank you!!
awesome video lol i was surprised that u were easily able to get the lure out of the 1st redfish despite using treble hooks XD
Thank you! Since redfish have such big tough mouths it makes it a pretty easy surface to remove any type of hook. It’s the trout and bluefish with the smaller mouths that those trebles make life more difficult
ah right lol haha and since redfish have no bony jawa or teeth i bet its a lot easier to handle as well huh?
Do you have a video of the rods and reels you prefer? or equipment?

That’s a good idea to try out!
I've done that for a number of years. Works well & saves some $$$!
Is the lure tied directly on the line or do you have a leader?
Mark Knighton I’m using 20lbs mono as a leader.
WTG !! Great video TY
humble suggestion 4U measure ur fish rod fm bottom to reel seat or beyond & place tape for 20" & 26" real handy 2 quik size fish ;)
How do you tie that jig?
Do you fish down toward fort Morgan?
All the time!
