😭 So sad to see all these Malls closing at such an alarming Rate! It seems alot of Malls in Ohio are closing down. I thank Heaven the Burlington Mall in Lowell MA, the Pheasant Lane Mall in NH, and The Mall at Rockingham Park in NH, are still busy busy busy! I would hate to say Goodbye to them. I already had to when the Methuen Mall in Methuen MA went dead and finally closed in 1998 and was demolished in 1999. I was sad to see it go. Macy's is an awesome Store! I love their Perfume Counter! Whenever I can get to the Rockingham Park Mall, I make a Bee Line to Macy's Perfume Counter. I love the little Samples they give out when I buy a Perfume at the Estee Lauder Counter. Awesome Video. Nice vid. I uploaded a mini walk-thru vid "Macy's Closing Final Day Empty Store Midway Mall Elyria Ohio & Press Release Statement" I was discrete about it with a little Canon PowerShot. The irony being they used to have a sign on the doors about no recording lol I'm glad you got more of it. That's why I share vids overall myself. Partially to document what goes on such as Cedar Point. So sad Macy's closed. I liked that store. My Mom looked at it today (Monday). I lights on could see inside everything gone. I'll try to get a pic to upload if I can.
I've been in it since it's the new Motorcycle & Watercraft dealer. They said they got it cheap. The floors are real squeaky! I was trying to picture what Macy's used to look like. It was actually hard to do. I miss walking thru there. It was a classy department store with a straight shot to the mall. The nail salon next to the entrance just moved out.
The manager at Midway Mall T Mobile said the movie theater is being removed for outdoor shops. didn't say when. they're also pushing more of the stores that were by Macy's to the center of the mall eventually.
I'd love to see what the inside of the old Dillards looks like after all the years it has been empty,

so makes me sad.. I am from Elyria originally and I was home two summers ago .. Elyria is a mess . :(
