I was there, the whole three days. This is one of the best groups there were, or at least performances wise. Every group was really group, but this was just the best group.
Now that I've heard much of their shows from this year, I can say this is probably the best played and sung one :) Except that 'The Hobbit' is missing, and despite the not best sound recorded.... 😁🍻 Bulgaria is The place for Music!
Don’t get me wrong, I love Blind Guardian. Based on this set list though….do people just not like their post Nightfall work? 😂 I mean it’s not as strong, but they have the discography to switch it up a bit.
As far as I have heard, post Nightfall work is just way more demanding to perform live, first of all for Hansi. However, on their regular shows or on the festivals with longer time slots they do have more variability than here
What's up with Blind Guardian and these old hits setlists? The only song released after 2000 is Violent Shadows. I know a lot of people prefer the old BG, but I really like the stuff between A Night At The Opera and Beyond The Red Mirror.
I came i here looking to see what songs from the new album they were playing, and I see it's none because Violent Shadows was released as a live performance before the new album (so maybe partly new?). They need to get other songs in.

Love the scream at the end of Violent Shadows... Hansi sometimes plays it safe in a live setting, so I love it when he goes wild. ;)
Yeah!! He was not holding back when I saw them live in April and I screamed "Holy fuuuuck Hansi" after his scream at the end of Violent Shadows
He did that sick scream at basically every show of the god machine tour

It's a decent performance and I will always love them, but Hansi is definitely past his prime.
Sadly yes. His traveller in time live performance at the 2007 Wacken was magical whilst this is just good.
