@@ClarasWoodshop I have this shaper too, and I found out that if you want to do long work like the bed rails, you need to put the workstation up high. I built a platform for the workstation, hooked up some anti fall straps to the shper and stood working on a step stool. I look forward to some of you work with it too!
Yesss, I’ve always thought it was pretty interesting too but the price also held me back. I would’ve been okay with not having it but now that I get a shot at testing this thing out, I’ll be seeing if it’s actually worth it or not for myself.
I would definitely agree that a full-scale CNC would be more beneficial for that kind of business - especially if you have the space. I think the Shaper Origin is best used in cases where you want to save on space.

I agree with you that for a hobbyist, it doesn't make sense; however, that's a lot of tools out on the market. For a business, it's a different story. As long as it increases productivity, it is definitely worth it. It's just like a Festool Domino in my mind. I would never buy something that expensive when I can use dowels or other joinery, but plenty of professionals have it.
I needto see lots of detail videos on this as I am considering one!
What would you like to know? :-)
@ClarasWoodshop you're always so wonderfully explanatory. I'd like to see you do a set up video and then see it in action. I ask a lot huh? Lol
Will see what I can do!
Yaaay now we're Origin related....its so fun and so useful...cant wait to see what you will use it for ..enjoy
Thank you! I’m super excited! Definitely gonna be using this for my bedframe project 😁🙌

(chants) One of us! Please allow me to be a resource on anything you need.
I saw this tool a few years back and thought it was pretty interesting. I can't convince my wife it's worth the price, but I'd love to be able to.

I recently got one too! What’s up first to be made?
I’m gonna use it to speed up this bed frame and get to more projects ;-)
Sweet!!
YESSS!!! 😁🙌
You are so iconic.
Thank you 😊
What a fun toy!! I just need and excuse to get one. :-)
It’s amazingggggggggg lol
Clara way to go hiding your enthusiasm! What is this? Christmas in July! lol. can't wait for you to put it to some use...
🤣! Thank you! I’m excited about it! You’ll see me use it in the bedframe project soon 😁🙌
Ahhh I want one so bad but have no use for it other than goofing around with it
What about a big CNC? 🤣
@@ClarasWoodshopbelieve me, I want one so bad. Will likely build my own. Gonna buy a big 3D printer first.
I had thought it would be more useful ended up selling it and got a real cnc machine. Not worth the $ for my custom display business.

I hate these. Very expensive for what it is

100% :-)
To answer your question at the end. That looks like an attractive asian lady.
lol - I guess I could see that too. The shaper origin is very sleek, has intelligent programming, and its cuts are very precise and sharp! 😉
