The movie was fine. It was very formulaic and basically did everything a typical action movie does, but there wasn't anything about it that makes you think, _"Oh man, you have GOT to see this!"_
The uruk-hai actually have even more characterization in the books Nick. A few of them get names and they mock the orcs for running when the rohirrim attack as they mount a suicide charge.
Thanks for all your entertainment helping add some joy to every week. This was fun to watch on my birthday today (Thursday). :D Hope you guys are doing well!
I watched this movie recently... just out of curiosity, it's pretty unremarkable. The Star Wars scene wasn't just a bed time story it was a full on play.
Only thing I remember from the movie is Matthew McConaughey jumping like 50 meters in the air to attack a dragon only to be unceremoniously eaten whole by it. Being played straight as a dramatic moment made it hilarious. As for the game, I remember trying it at a store on a PS2 demo unit when the console first launched. I expected a cool third person action game fighting dragons and I was surprised when it was a boring and bland looking driving game. Don't know if it changes later on, never bothered giving it another chance since then.
Orcbama was a phony that sold out orckind to keep the elves and their human weeaboos rich. Orcbama went parasailing in Ekkala Sea with his man buddies as this all happened.

Wildest thing about this film is that it's set in 2020.

FANTASY MOOOONTH! I can’t believe I haven’t seen this movie yet, it’s the exact kind of cheese I love watching.
This is going to be a genre bending fantasy month
This game/movie looks basically like the fusion of Fallout and Skyrim. Glad to see the boys out for another fantasy "classic".

The movie is definitely worth a watch. One of my favorite ridiculous action movies. Matthew McConaughey as gruff army guy was 👌
