@PaigeSpiranac is so massively underrated. It's hard to look past her obvious beauty, and it surely works against her on some occations, but there is a very knowledgable golfer behind the all-american blonde looks. I honestly don't understand all the hate she's facing. No matter what perspective, what's not to like?
There is a lot of value in this video. A lot of great information. It's almost a benefit that Ian is a rookie on the SAM Puttlab system, as he explains things too himself as well as to us. Great work!!

Great fitting and loads of good information. I will be having my first putter fitting just after xmas and this video has helped me understanding some basics a a fitting.

The visual thing is a really good point. I play a DelMar and it is genuinely the first putter since a Wilson 8882 putter I used as a kid where I actually consistently hit the middle of the putter face. My low tech version of Sam is foot spray on the face and I was surprised the strike pattern was centered both vertically and horizontaly 👍🏼

Interesting comment about how few people strike putter towards the heel. I actually have a big issue with heel strikes on my putter.

I use the look of the ball being closer to the heel. Was a game changer for me.
it is cool to get the TXG boys extra access to the players Club champion has been working with, so all in all the new look has been fantastic for content.
Fitting was great as usual for Ian but would have liked to have seen the Paige Prototype putter bent to 70 degrees and tested.

I’ve watched Ian for a couple years but not lately. I wish I could afford to go to Canada and spend a week with him.
My miss is actually in the heel, been doing lots of work with gate drills and putting mirrors to get the strike consistent, but on the course, the mishit with the putter is always heel side. Current putter was fit at Club Champion in Agoura Hills, love everything about it, but just curious what you would recommend in terms of a neck/toe hang type that might help drive contact out towards the toe? For reference, the putter I got fit into is the Sik Pro-C with the single bend neck, 35". Keep up the great content!

Ian just a Suggestion, Paige love that Color on the Putter Head it is done my Heating the head to a certain heat degree. Like more blue,red or copper colors. The Same on the Titanium putter shaft it is done by Heat to shaft. Peace be With you Ian and Family and Paige may the Golf God’s help you with your Goals. Gory

Paige. I did this exactly this same move. Put the line on the putter just to the inside of the line on the ball. Found this out by using a chalk line on the putting green. If I couldn’t puttlike I do now I would be shooting 85 works for me! 😊😊

Is that how all putter fittings on SAM should be conducted? My CC fitting they hooked up to Sam once, recommended putter specs and shape and then tried putting with other putters never confirming that putter "fit" me which I thought was weird.

This type of fitting with adjustments being made in real time doesn't exist to the normal club champion fitting, does it?
This is actually exactly how our putter fittings work! We have digital loft/lie machines in stores so we can adjust the demos, we have different lengths and shaft types to test, etc.
why doesn't anyone in these putting videos line up the ball using the line drawn on the ball?

Did I miss her iron fitting? The end of the video makes it seem like they went through that, but I only saw the WITB and this putter fitting.
Also, I knew exactly what she was saying when she said she ignores her line and does what feels right on putts. I always spend the time to get my line, line the ball up with the line at my target, and then stand over it and say "Nah, I'm going to aim here instead". I can count on one hand how many putts I've made outside of 15' in the last 2 years lol.
We have more content with Paige coming! We got this out since September is Putter Fitting Month but keep an eye out for more content about the rest of her clubs!
Wouldn't recommend Club Champion for putter fitting. If you do go, beware. Read the fine print on their order sheet; all sales are final, no refunds. You do get a ninety day window for "loft and lie adjustments". Pay close attention to delivery dates, and expect them to extend beyond what they advertised, and refer to the "all sales are final" comment above. If you can find the same product faster (and cheaper) you are basically screwed. Real pros have very professional club fitters produce and adjust their clubs based upon their requirements. The average guy does not have a requirement to get "fitted" to the level and price Club Champion charges. You are essentially paying a lot for very little. Plus, they will try to get you to get every custom upcharge they offer, whether you need it or not.
The average guy does not need or want what Club Champion is selling.
