이번 영상은 서울 남산 자락에 위치한 해방촌 동네의 모습을 담은 영상입니다.
해방촌의 이름은 1945년 해방과 함께 마을이 형성되었다고 해서 해방촌이란 이름을 갖게 되었다고 합니다.
해방 직후에 북한에서 월남한 사람들이 거주하면서 작은 마을을 이루게 되었고, 이후 도시가 발전하면서 농촌에서 도시로 찾아온 이주민들도 이곳에 자리를 잡으며 동네를 이루게 되었습니다.
해방촌은, 고등학교 때 친구가 이곳에 살아서 여러 번 갔었고, 성인이 되어서도 사진 촬영을 하러 가끔 다녔던 곳이라 저에게는 더욱 정겹고 익숙한 곳입니다.
최근 몇 년 사이에는 주로 야경을 보러 와서 몰랐는데 오늘 보니 언제 생겼는지 근처에 공영주차장이 있어서 평일이나 낮에 방문하기도 좋을 것 같네요.
예전과 크게 달라진 게 있다면 동네를 오르내리는 오래된 계단이 골목마다 튼튼하고 깔끔한 새 계단으로 바뀌어 있었고, 다른 보행로도 깔끔하게 길을 싹 깔아서 다니기 좋아졌습니다.
개인적으로도 요즘은 어떻게 달라져 있을까 궁금했었는데 아직 이곳 해방촌을 모르시는 분들도 보시면 좋을 것 같고, 해방촌과 인연이 있으신 분들도 옛 생각하시며 보시면 좋을 것 같아서 촬영하게 되었습니다.

This video shows the Haebangchon neighborhood located at the foot of Namsan Mountain in Seoul.
It is said that Haebangchon got its name from the fact that the village was formed with liberation in 1945.
Immediately after liberation, people from North Korea came to live in South Korea and form a small village. As the city developed, immigrants from rural areas to the city also settled here and formed a neighborhood.
Haebangchon is a place that is even more intimate and familiar to me because a friend of mine lived here in high school and I went there several times, and even as an adult, I went here occasionally to take pictures.
I didn't know about it in recent years because I mainly came to see the night view, but today I saw that there was a public parking lot nearby, so it would be good to visit on weekdays or during the day.
One thing that has changed significantly from the past is that the old stairs that go up and down the neighborhood have been replaced with new, sturdy and neat stairs in every alley, and other pedestrian paths have also been paved neatly, making it easier to walk.
Personally, I was curious about how it would be different these days, and I decided to film it because I thought it would be good for people who don't know Haebangchon yet to see it, and for people who have a connection with Haebangchon to think about the past and see it.
