Hi, this might not be the best place to say it, but my wife and I really enjoyed being "introduced" to you by watching Magnus' climbing video. We appreciated your relaxed attitude and how much fun you guys had together just "trying stuff". I wish more people related to sports that way without all the "win/doom" attitude. Winning is definitely fun (and is important professionally), but I can see that both of you are challenging yourselves more than each other. I'm glad you made the time for that. Also: what you do is amazing. You know those "People are amazing videos"? Yeah, you are amazing. Peace!

Right! I have a good grip strength and the wrist exercises killed me with my knees just 3 hand spans from my hands. I'm gonna work on these progressions. The way Sondre breaks and chunks it all into achievable, bite sized, noticeable strength goals is very masterful and motivating. Erry body do de wirst!
Seriously, incredibly impressive. I am going to incorporate these exercises into my end-of-climbing-session-workout, strengthening those wrists is not a bad idea at all.

Awesome collaboration sondre! Its great to see you getting known here on RUclips too! The video quality it’s getting great and the info amazing as always, we need more people like you in the calisthenics community 😄 keep it up 💪🏻
The breakdown of this movement level by level is so good! I can go from sitting cross legged on the floor up to handstand, but can’t get the eccentric control to come back down and do reps. this should help a ton 😁
I think something people neglect to a certain extent when working on handstands is lower back and core stability. I'm watching Magnus collapse through the lower back repeatedly, and I used to do the same thing until I worked more on my lower back and abdominals ;-) Great collab!
The reason for that is often shoulder mobility. Its a way to bring enougth mass forward in order to compensate for not being able to get a 180° angle between arms and torso
This is sick! I came here from Magnus' channel, and I'm so pleased I did! It's great that you had exercises for any strength level or technical level. Baby handstand push-ups are the intermediate step I never knew I needed!
This is the collaboration I didn't know I wanted! It's cool to see Magnus' amazement with Sondre's strength. Very cool to see these elite athletes training together.
Without doubt the best video I’ve found on RUclips for the HSPU. Many new progressions I’ve never seen and a well thought out structured step by step approach to gaining the skill. Really well done my friend. I’m pretty confident now I’ll be able to a much better job of regaining the skill even at the age of 60.
Amazing video. As a yoga teacher at a climbing gym, this is incredibly inspiring for future classes with my climbers who want to work their handstands!
You guys both are amazing! Sondre, this was really something worth to wait for, and it is so nice of you sharing so much accumulated physiological knowledge here, again.
I am very out of shape. 33yrs old 5’8 190-195lbs I felt the best when I was between 155-165lbs. This + climbing (I climb 3-5 days a week) + swimming should get me back to my goal of a healthy, strong 160lbs. 🤘 I’ll check back in 6 months from now with my progress! (April 20th 2023) Wish me luck! 🤙

I love that you include knee push-ups in your progression. As a yoga teacher, I would rather see students do knee chaturanga well than a not great plank position chaturanga and never improve. If y’all want to do yoga, I don’t know what the scene in Norway is, but Sweden has a big yoga community. I can recommend teachers to help open your hips (I came here from the other collab on Magnus’s channel) on a healthy manner. Coming from magnus' channel - this is freakin' amazing, dude! Now I'm finally motivated to work on my push strenght toward this goal, thanks for your motivational modular programm. Keep up the good work!
The wrist strengthening is extremely interesting to me as a climber, it's something I've struggled with since day one, I don't even have the finger mobility to do the first exercise shown!
Absolutely wonderful to see the progressions, it makes a complicated and technial excercise seem approachable - challenging, but approachable. This is also the only handstand video I've watched that devotes time to show wrist strenghtening excercises! My wrists are pretty weak and they have always been the weak point when trying calisthenics. So thank you! It looks like a simple and good way to build the wrist strength up progressively.

Coming from Magnus channel... this is really well made video. From the editing, to the camera work, to all different exercises shown, to the explanation of everything, just awesome!
The wrist exercises are going to be invaluable. I have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and have rejected surgery. My goal is to strengthen my muscles instead. I'm starting out close to zero, but like Sondre I like stepwise goals. I'll get there.

Great video guys! I try to get that bloody first HSPU, but after watching the video I see that I've been missing lots of possible progressions and could have been further in my HSPU journey by now if I knew them earlier! Good to see Sondre that tour channel grows day by day, you deserved it!
Magnus fan here, but not a climber. You got me moving, and boy are my arms tired now! Knee pushups, wrist strengthening, stretching. No idea if i’ll ever get to the level of handstand pushup, but I aim to get at least to straight pushups and straight hand stand.
Sondre is so clear and understandable with his instructions, have been wanting a handstand push up for ages, i was going too hard too fast, now I see the progression I can take… will report back later if I can do one (or two ) magnus will probably get it in 2 months. Great video!
Don't know if I'll ever really work towards a handstand pushup, but I will definitely be incorporating these wrist exercises into my after-climbing-workout!
If it will take mangus about 2 months, I'm going to shoot for 4-6 months. I sincerely love how you've broken down the technical and strength aspects into separate processes, including wrist conditioning! You have a new subscriber and someone seriously looking into your program now. 🖤
It was fun watching both of your videos. One could see how you each have different strengths and less developed things based on your own training. I also enjoyed seeing you support and coach each other. By the way, I came from Magnus's channel. I'll definitely check out some more of your stuff :)
For anyone looking to improve wrist flexibility, I'd highly recommend Yoga With Adriene's 3-4 minute video on wrists (just search YWA wrists and it's the black and white one). I climb and work a desk job, but with doing that video daily (we can all find 4 minutes) my wrists are maintaining a good level of flexibility, which I've always struggled with anyway. Also: brilliant video - I love your patient, supportive and humble style of teaching
I’ve never done anything like this before but this video made me want to give the crow stand a try and I found out it’s actually really fun I’m definitely going to try and implement stuff like this into my normal exercise routine… great stuff thanks for the truly inspiring video
As someone who has always wanted to learn handstand push-ups and the ability to walk around on my hands, this video is super exciting lol. I'm starting with the wrist workouts.
new here, broke my collarbone about a month ago trying to do handstands while drunk lmao. This video inspires me to get back at it (sober) and master the handstand. Thank you for such a detailed video.
for the wrist pushups i recommend starting by leaning up against a wall if you cant do it on your knees and just use the wrist with straight arms to push yourself away from the wall always increasing the inline
Great hand stand techniques. Like how start working from small steps into deeper hand stands and push up. Having video on this or program can be helpful. Good work 🙏🏽📖😇.
Wow i was watching Magnus' channel and ended up here. This is a very interesting channel and i think it has a lot of things to teach me as an athlete primarily as well as a climber. The way Sondre increases the difficulty of the excercises step by step is extreamely helpful.
If you ever see this comment, I just want to thank you greatly for this video! You showcased tips and tricks that i've never heard of. I grew up walking on my hands but i could never hold a handstand. Now because of you, i can easily hold a handstand, i can do 10+ freestanding handstand push-ups and next goal is the planche.
That wrist strengthening routine is really cool. I can barely do a pushup (haven't exercised in years til recently) and it's mainly because my wrists are way too weak... Thanks for covering these :)

Please do more collabs, you both are excellente creating content arround movement. Greetings since Colombia
This video was sick. I'm stoked to see Magnus stick with it!
This video was probably the most informative one I have seen on a handstand push up. Great video!
Your content is amazingly good!! Keep up the good work, man! I came from the Magnus channel, btw.
Coming from Magnuuuuuus. Love the filming and editing, keep up the great content.
Wanting to learn this for a long time. Handstands have been getting alot better and this video is just what i needed to progress further! ;)
I had a lot of fun, and the collaboration was very well done.
Big love to Magnus, now i have a fav calisthenics yt channel
I think this can be the start of a beautiful friendship❤️
Never knew any of this. One I apparently do is pike down push-ups (a little more wall assisted).
So likeable Sondre. Your programs are super effective and good to follow. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
And that was a sub! Great vid Sondre and happy to have found you!
Second this. It ywa wrists a truly great and helpful video
I found your channel because of this collaboration and I'm so glad.
"Jesus Crist!" , that training session was maaaaad. Wrist training was crazy!
new here, broke my collarbone about a month ago trying to do handstands while drunk lmao.
Incredible video! Thank you both so much value andinformation!! My prediction for myself is 3.5 to 4 months.
Ok, those wrist push ups to fingertips was actually crazy.
Great video, idk if Ive seen anybody do a 90*handstand push up on rings before that was great!
This is a good video and I enjoyed that you showed the gradients from beginning on forward.
You two working together was great!
I'll use this video to train the next weeks cause it looks like a fun progression. Thank you!
That wrist strengthening routine is really cool. I can barely do a pushup (haven't exercised in years til recently) and it's mainly because my wrists are way too weak... Thanks for covering these :)
So useful, practical and fun stuff! Thanks to both of you
Just came from Magnus video 🙏 can't wait to see more of your Collabs with him
