We are on a cruise with MSC (Splendida ship), and today was our 4th stop at our 70th country of Qatar! A very nice couple offered to pick us up and take us around Doha for the day :) Our first stop was the camel race track! Some locals were there training, then they invited us into their house for coffee and pool (WHAT?!). We got to hang out with them, their camels, AND their racing falcon! Next we went out for a authentic lunch at the Waqif Souq. We ended the day with a view of the Doha skyline lighting up at sunset from our ship! Thank you Kim and Nash for a wonderful day in Doha! :)
We were nominated for a Shorty Award!! PLEASE VOTE FOR US :) shortyawards.com/10th/natebuch...

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started traveling full-time January 10, 2016. While daily vlogging was not the original plan, we were having way too many cool experiences not to share every single day! Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before Nate turns 30 (which is March 20, 2019)! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)

Love how you guys keep meeting up with local subscribers! Also, how cool that the other locals were so nice and spontaneous, inviting you guys in like that! Btw, I was cracking up with Nate about how the only drones allowed are those used to train falcons, LOL! Next time you know what to tell customs...

This city is amazing! I just keep getting more and more surprised by the Middle East! It's so bright, colorful and beautiful, and the culture seems so warm and welcoming. I didn't know what to expect, but it is somehow more. Those birds were so beautiful, and the camels! It's so neat seeing them tended to this way (as opposed to just strolling around the desert). They are clearly pampered and valued. And how kind it was for those gentlemen to just invite you into their home. So hospitable!
I don't know how many vlogs we have left from this location, but I hope there are many more. I'm not ready to leave the Middle East just yet. :-)

Oh! Wowie! Doha! Bring back some special memories! :) Thank you so much Kara and Nate for this vlog :) I was born there and grew up right next to the Corniche :) Every morn I woke up to that beautiful view of the sea to my left and to the right could see aircraft’s taking off since when I grew up there weren’t many buildings. You guys are right, Sheraton was the only building at the end of that side of the Corniche strip, and my Dad, Mom and I would drive there quite frequently and spend afternoons, having a picnic in a spot we called our own private property (we had quite a few ones around Doha ;)) since we would be the only ones there, and few other families would come and hangout and even though we didn’t know each other, everyone would be so nice and cordial and I remember loving those special childhood moments :) Growing up there is so different; and I’m grateful that I had the experience :) 4 years ago we had to leave suddenly when both my parents fell seriously ill, and so left in a rush. It wasn’t planned. I remember that in the 2 weeks we decided we would leave, I would walk every morning to the Corniche and catch the sunrise and do the entire walk up and back home or take a taxi if I had to meet someone. Just something about looking out at the sea was calming, something I miss so much now that we’ve since shifted, and there’s no water body of any kind where we now live. Today, Doha is so different in so many ways than from when I grew up; I hope to go there sometime soon :) Thank you so much Kara and Nate :) You guys are amazing! I am so happy I came across your channel today; wish I had seen your channel long ago, but grateful that at least today I got to see you guys :) Just watched your Mt. Everest Base Camp Trek! Amazing! Congratulations on that successful mission :) You guys are a wonderful team and a real inspiration :)
Lots of love and good wishes from your happy new subscriber,
    Esther :)

What an awesome pair of ambassadors representing the best our country has to offer ! My wife and I traveled extensively from the 70's through the 90's with our family as it grew. We had many personal 1:1 interactions with locals and enjoyed our travels so much. The children were magic cultural ice breakers everywhere. Thanks to you I'm editing our many travel tapes and recently started uploading uploading to our Loni & Al channel on RUclips.

Your Everest Base Camp videos were the first ones I saw, and I've been a fan ever since. Came across them looking for videos on Everest after reading Into Thin Air. Happy happenstance!
