Here is the thing... I am late as all Hell, but when I first watched this, I looked up the reason that Hayter was not Snake's VA in this, since he is perfect for Snake. Apparently Kojima had been trying to replace Hayter somewhat subtly, since MGS3.

Also I preferred the wet and rainy military base, it gave it a superb sense of atmosphere that reflected the story which was extremely dark and terrifying, whilst TPP's story was more of a James Bond film (Still a very good one) It and the missions lacked the Kojima trademark of little details and, i'll say it again, a very dark story!
Chapter 2 of TPP felt dark for me and some of the missions in Chapter 1 felt dark too like the mission called VOICES and the game's big twist felt dark too
In terms of TPP missions, there are so many little details scattered in missions. An example is Traitors Caravan if you let it reach the camp - you'll hear a lot of skippable but very important dialogue. Same with To Know Too Much, if you let the Russians find the target, you'll hear some dialogue, and if you let the assassin come to the target, you'll see more little details.
It’s what I expected at first from the series instead it’s a anime spy drama so this was extreme whiplash, imagine what a 3D Metal Gear Remake would look like. +Jimmy Pegg Yeah, they are. The opening of TPP keeps the same tone as this but everything just seems to have spiralled out of control after that... It's so strange.
+TBrizzle01 Phantom Pain feels more like an incomplete Rockstar game than anything else. It's sorely missing the little kojima moments which made GZ great despite how dark it is. (ie: Tracking down Paz using audio cues from the tape, finding all the XOF stickers with the final one being stuck on Snake himself, increasing difficulty and enemy spawns on way out of base, not to mention the markings you have to erase) It's lacking the spark that all the other kojima MGS games have.
+My God! The Chief is a Snatcher! Very much so. The landscape in TPP is bare and forgetable. GZ has an actual large base, a real threat. In TPP there's like 5 guys in an outpost so big whoop if I get in a fight. GZ has intro cutscene with the cool infiltration method, dramatic set (thunderstorm), ending with load of drama, the list goes on.
With out doubt Ground Zeroes was meant to be Launched with the Phantom Pain. but they forced them to release This as TPP was still not finished. This like the Tanker Chapter of MGS2.
Dont know about that. MG had always had success with demo type games before release since the first one on playstaion. They pretty much perfected it with GZ. Its just very much like MG
One thing I never got about MGSV in both forms is how you're almost guaranteed to be detected driving a vehicle. Like especially at night, how do the enemy have the visibility to confidently identify you as a target and not just someone driving one of their trucks? There should be an element of proximity and time/exposure to it, the vehicles providing a modicum of camo provided you're not dressed obviously not as one of theirs. Also, chuck fico.
So this is the last time we played as the real Big Boss I'll always hold out for a game following him in Africa building the real Outer Heaven. Felt like PP had a lot of stuff missing that could be expanded on.
Can y'all imagine if from PW thru PP it's just VR training? Being a mind control training program to train and test Liquid and Solid Snake in the "Present". Right before going against the real Big Boss in a remastered Metal Gear.
That's what phantom pain should have been. Playing as Big Boss as he built outer heaven and his transformation from following the Boss' original ideals to the bad guy he became in the original metal gear. Sadly I dont think that game will ever be made
40:03 - 40;04 IF you look closely you can notice Venom going in the chopper, and you know its him as besides snake he is the only one with a canteen and a napsack on his rear waist. even in TPP
Awesome! So you're from Hungary? Thanks for the translation, man. Would you be OK if I staid in touch with you for further translation when TPP comes out? I'm serious - for hardcore MGS fans like me it's incredibly valuable to have someone who can translate stuff. Obviously, I don't mean entire paragraphs or something, just a few sentences. I doubt Skull Face will speak much Hungarian anyway. :) You should register at mgsforums.com. :D Just imagine how much we would've been in the dark if it weren't for those few awesome japanese people who translated the whole Ground Zeroes information a year ago.
No worries mate, i'm a fan myself so it won't be a problem if you need as much translation as you want, happy to help :) Though you might be right, he wont speak too much but still i'm intrigued to know what's his relation to Hungary (he spoke the language with english accent:)). For some bizarre reason, it seems to be a trend recently to chose hungarian as an "exotic" language for baddies, villains & terrorist. I've seen a movie where the taliban terrorist spoke it in Afganistan! Hungary's in Europe for heavens sake! Hope in the MGS storyline they've used it wisely :)
Well, as far as I know, Hungarian IS an exotic language, right? It isn't part of any of the main language categories like romanic, germanic etc. etc. People say Hungarian is the most difficult language to learn. I don't know, but I guess it's possible, since it has no ties to other languages. For example even with German and English, they have certain ties that you notice when you speak both languages, because they're both Germanic languages. Awesome, I'll ask you when I hear SF speak Hungarian in TPP! :D
Well, you've done your homework :) i'd have never thought that folks are interested in our language, i feel honoured by your comment. Yes, it is difficult & apart from using in the country (and the territories that belonged to it once) you can't really use it abroad..but it might change cos i've seen an international HALO trailer in english and in that the drill sergeant & the soldiers were speaking hungarian..you never know, maybe it is the future global language :D Just a joke, before somebody takes offence..
Hah, yeah I know that's a good feeling somehow when your language gets represented in films or games. I speak German and I thought it was kinda awesome when the enemies in Wolfenstein The New Order spoke German during gameplay. Well.. "German"... it was kinda obvious that it was English speaking people who also speak German acting as if they were native German speakers, because it was really overdone and normal German doesn't sound like that "hitler/nazi german" that people like to do... you know what I mean. When people act like a German, they either talk like "I like ze apples, yes, ze apples are very good. And ze wheazer is also really nice today" or they just scream and talk like Hitler. Lol sry I always write long comments. What I'm trying to say is that I can relate to that feeling. :) I hope we get to hear and see more of Skull Face in TPP. I even hope he speaks a little bit Hungarian, that'd be awesome.
Maaaaannnnn Ground Zeroes is probably my favorite moment in gaming history. Of all time. A lot of people were annoyed at it. "It was just a demo, just a money grab." Absolute nonsense. There was more exposition packed into the short story of GZ than there has been in almost any other video game, perhaps more than in any other MGS title. The way it ties Peace Walker together with Phantom Pain. I understand completely why Kojima made it. It's completely necessary. And it's exactly enough just as it is. The story of GZ doesn't require more than a short story. But it's absolutely essential in order to tell the story of Big Boss, MSF and it's transition to Diamond Dogs. It furthers the story of Cipher. It shows how absolutely insane and diabolical Cipher and Skull Face were. Without a doubt, the best story ever written and the best story I've ever been told. Phenomenal.
It wasnt meant to be its own thing though, it was originally going to be the third mission in TPP, replacing that flashback recap shown after rescuing Kaz.
I think it would have been a nice touch adding more snake animations reacting to the tape, like nodding his head to Paz's catchy theme song. But on the other end, I wouldn't expect Big Boss to react much anyway.
I just realized that right after you rescue Kojima in the Intel Operative mission, he’s sitting in the chopper with you and at the Mission Select screen, let the screen sit idle for a few seconds and he’ll flick the screen as if spinning a wheel to suggest a mission for you.....
I never played this game, just watched it as a movie… it was overwhelming, honestly, proves that video games are a form of art. It dwells on such themes as torture and child soldiers. I guess this is the only way to speak about war - reflecting on your own feelings as you play for the character who is a part of this war machine. You feel both excitement and pain of it. Makes you realise how horrifying war is
Basically easy way to sum up mgs ground zero into small sentence is: it’s a small flashback of what happened to snake & you in mgsv that put you into the hospital.
Your editing work is phenomenal, the way you seamlessly integrate gameplay with cutscenes tells the full story of the game while cutting out the fluff. Seriously, thank you for this, it must have been an enormous effort.
You can tell the guy in the heli when paz 'dies' gets the full impact of the explosion, including the shrapnel lodged in the brain, not talking about big boss either, but the guy in front of him protecting him from the blast.
Thanks for the well job man, watched all the peace walker, MGS4 and now Ground Zero, got say it...the tapes have some very deep content, but it just make the game looks even more amazing in my opinion.
I believe that the blue lens flares play the same role that the yellow ones do in TPP: tell you that what you're about to see has been altered from what originally happened. The use of lens flares were joked about as being a homage to J.J. Abrams, but were also stated to be a reference to a J-Pop music video where said lens flares signified history being actively rewritten in a manner reminiscent to the Doublethink perpetuated by the Ministry of Truth from 1984. As prolific as the blue lens flares are and as many clues point to it, I don't think the person we play as during Ground Zeroes is even Big Boss. David had already stated that he was embracing the title of Big Boss by the end of Peace Walker (which is contradicted by his introduction being "Snake, the man formerly known as Big Boss") and Kaz's statement in regards to being surprised about Paz's involvement with Cipher hints is a contradiction as well since he had confessed to the real Big Boss that he had known that she was involved all along. To me, it makes the most sense that this mission had been originally undertaken by the Medic. Now as unnovel as that may seem, what I do think is novel is the timing of those lens flares. Always before glimpses of XOF and Skull Face. Constantly surrounding certain parts of the camp as well sillhouetting the entire camp overall. The significance of the the IR eraser as well as the "audio tape" lens flare inside the helicopter. Taking that into account as well Chico's reaction to you entering his cage, I think the game is hinting that another group entirely was running this camp: Zanzibarland Forces. When you capture Mosquito after his invasion during TPP, he tries to tell you that he thinks Big Boss was behind the attack of Mother Base. NPCs throughout Ground Zeroes state that certain comments overheard being made by quote "Skull Face" during his interrogations are notably odd; each of the quotes ("pain gets the better of us all", for example) having being direct quotes from Big Boss when he wasnt under XOF supervision. I believe that Big Boss and his team (likely using Ocelot as a major asset) were utilizing Camp Omega in order to torture and kidnap Western combatants; quote "breaking people left and right, with people rumored to be constantly disappearing over the Iron Curtain". That's why Chico freaks out when you see him later: Big Boss was the one who had tortured him. Why the bombs then in Paz? Because the bomb weren't intended for Big Boss. They were intended for Zero. Knowing that Zero felt a sense of superiority in flexing his intellect, they had placed the first bomb where the hastily made sutures could be found even by the most inexperienced observer. The whole scene that plays out with Big Boss right before the explosion on the helicopter is the only time I believe that Big Boss was actually even present. Seeing the fight aboard Mother Base, I believe that Morpho had redirected from their original flight plan and had picked up both Big Boss and Kaz from the ensuing chaos. While I do think that the destruction of Mother Base was carried about by Cipher, I believe that Big Boss was understood to be off-limits and only stayed aboard during the attack in order to appear as though he was still in line with MSF. The only reason that Big Boss allowed Chicos transmission to broadcast in the first place was because he believed that it was the best way to make sure that Paz made it off Camp Omega in order to fulfill her purpose. Knowing that the current Outer Heaven sympathizers left might very well reject him following the following the news of the destruction of their former Mother Base, Venom's "rescue" was simply ordered by Big Boss as a means to ensure that she would be alive in order to rendevouz with Zero later. The brutal crash that occurred later than wasn't even due to the second bomb; it was due to a missile attack we see in one of the later versions of Venoms flashbacks. One aspect that really haunts me is the exposure to the yellow strobing lights and similarity to the corridors that we see from "Shining Lights in Death" in the area where we find Paz. Paz's abdominal bleeding, the red glowing lights which are later shown in TPP to be experienced by Venom when suffering from disassociative trauma, and the similarities to the whole area me if anything lead credence to the theory that MGSV isn't even the story that had being lived out by Venom; its a virtual experience being fed via the beta S3 kernel directly to a certain paraplegic after his revival from his death on a minefield in Zanzibarland. We are being reprogrammed to hate Big Boss after experiencing the "Truth" scene and love Big Brother; the real Big Brother being the narrative pushed by the Patriots.
The way you play, the way you move your left and right Analog to see the surroundings, the angle, awesome dude ! its like watching first minute gameplay in E3.
Merci pour ta traduction, je vais (enfin) me faire plaisir sur MGSV dans de bonnes conditions, j'avais besoin de l'histoire du prologue. Un grand merci pour les 2 séquences de cette vidéo
It's bullshit they sold this at 30-40$. It's like selling the Tanker chapter in MGS2 but then sell the Plant chapter separately a year and a half later. This should've been a mission in the main game. At least you can buy it as part of the "Definitive Experience" bundle thing now.
Indeed. In fact, for me this one was the trailer that elevate to the skyes the hype of TPP. But sadly, TPP was very dissapointed in terms of narrative. GZ was way more epic that TPP
Been saying since the beginning that David Hayter still should have voiced the real Big Boss. Kiefer was good, but having David portray the real BB would have been epic.
Like Kiefer Sutherland or not, when I first played the game and heard that old familiar "kept you waiting, huh", it still gave me chills. I still think he did an awesome job with the voiceover as the older Big Boss, it's sad that David Hayter wasn't given a chance to be in the game, but Keifer was an excellent choice as an alternative for older Big Boss.
MannYSJ You play Big Boss in other MGS games. MGS 3. MGS Peacewalker. You don't just play Big Boss in MGS V. So, unless he miss-wrote his comment, or meant something else, no, MGS 5 isn't the only game you play as Big Boss.
Another well-edited video. Thank you. It's odd that Chico is able to record so much on his personal cassette player, not only because his captors would surely have noticed and confiscated it and his seven cassettes, but also because, although the personal cassette player was invented in 1972, before the events of MGS5 in 1974/5, it was not commercially available until 1979. Now, that's rather pedantic of me, but I'm old enough to remember the first Sony Walkmans, and it's yet another example of how the MGS games, which have the potential to be brilliant and seem to want to be, are prevented from brilliance by the developers who allow them to contain elements that are inauthentic even within the conventions of the games.
Also MGS is in sort of a slightly more advanced parallel timeline then ours. By MGS2 there are AI controlled Metal Gears after all. Being set in 2008-9. So, it is perfectly normal for Chico, who worked with MSF and Big Boss, to have access to advanced technology. As for why he recorded that... they let him. It is eluded to by Skullface.
amazing how mgs has remained top-notch quality over the years. every game has added something new to the series. it's not like other game series that hit a peak, then go downhill like splinter cell or cod.
elviade yeah what the fuck is the deal with these endless torture/rape sequences? They fetishize the whole thing. who decided five tapes is a good number?
Dusk Renard I've left a few comments talking shit on GZ and I'm tired of people giving me responses implying I'm not mature enough to handle the grim realities of war. Dude, those tapes with Chico and Paz a lot more to do with pornography than any actual recordings from Guantanamo. the tapes weren't upsetting because of their realism. They were upsetting because of their tastelessness, over the top, crass. This game took something highly charged, politicized, and close to home, and instead of using a scalpel, handled the whole thing with mittens.
wolfumz I actually think you're overdoing it. The charge that might be levelled at MGSGZ is that of being crass, yes. The point is most certainly to create a picture of tastelessness and indignity. The characters here respond with disgust because in the narrative the events that occur are 'real', and the effect is anger. If you would allow yourself a moment of sympathy, rather than skepticism, I think you'd see that the tapes are a small part of larger whole. Perhaps it might be levelled at the game that disgust, offensiveness, and insensibility are poor tools for manipulating the audience/player. I think you'll find though, that 'revenge' stories, that do not manipulate one's moral sensibilities are not very good at justifying their events. Because perhaps, you interpret these particular tapes as being politically charged, you approach the manipulation with a reasonable skepticism. If that is the case, this story will probably not sing to you. I am willing and able to overlook my own perspective because I know that no narrative will work without some suspension of disbelief.
The first 7 minutes have some of the best direction I've ever seen in a videogame, and this kind of level is rarely seen even in movies. It's a perfect combination of music with a beautiful long take

Awesome to know I have spent hours building Motherbase and constructing ZEKE in Peace Walker, just for it to be blown up in the next game.
And building mother base in TTP just for it to most likely be destroyed and for venom to die in MG1
5:40 masterful directing, insane lighting, even the camera movement is fucking perfect. What an opening.

The way Snake covers his mouth in horror after finding out they have to rip out the tracer from Paz's stomach is absolutely chilling.
I had to look away for that whole segment, and even simply hearing it made me cringe. Her screams sounded almost as if a Xenomorph was ripping its way out of her.
It was rough, yes. Have you seen Paz in TPP, though? It adds additional salt to the wound.
Like OMG... This scene friggin killed me..
And then it was referenced in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate where equipping the Paz spirit gives you a bob-omb.
@FJOJR Wow. Nintendo has a darker sense of humor than I thought

I love how the opening is one continuous cutscene without any cutaways.
That's pretty much every scene between both games. I think 90% or more are all one take not cutaways
such a change in tone from peace walker
Ignotum per ignotius I welcome the change

But to be fair it would have made it a bit easier to notice venom snake wasnt big boss

I swear Ground Zeroes feels more like a Metal Gear game than the Phantom Pain.
+TBrizzle01 It's true.
+mooganify TPP was just so bare for story and everything was pretty much a generic outpost, nothing really memorable at all.
only if they made the story longer it would have been so much better.
Were XOF on a suicide mission or something? There were so many XOF troops on the MSF platform before it went into the sea!
Well if your going after the Big Boss, that's kind of a suicide mission.
Edward Richards Lol,In A Blink Of An Eye U May Be Gone From Existence
"to be continued in The Phantom Pain"
Barely.

On a more comical note, Congradulation Paz, its a Bomb. Have you decided on a name... i thinking Rudy
pyrolee17 omg lol i guess they really ruined her life when she had him EHHH??? EHH? i leave now
They had to do a C-section.
Son of a gun lol
I would've gone with Andy (a talking bomb from the Red Vs Blue series)
Giving birth to a baby like that could really......blow......one's mind! Sure makes me glad I'm a guy! Woaka woaka!
As a metal gear fan...the money was well spent on Ground Zeroes
One thing I never got about MGSV in both forms is how you're almost guaranteed to be detected driving a vehicle. Like especially at night, how do the enemy have the visibility to confidently identify you as a target and not just someone driving one of their trucks? There should be an element of proximity and time/exposure to it, the vehicles providing a modicum of camo provided you're not dressed obviously not as one of theirs.
Also, chuck fico.
So this is the last time we played as the real Big Boss
I'll always hold out for a game following him in Africa building the real Outer Heaven. Felt like PP had a lot of stuff missing that could be expanded on.
Para mí va a ser una decepción porque solid snake nos la destruye despues :c
Pepicity1 pero algo es algo...
Can y'all imagine if from PW thru PP it's just VR training? Being a mind control training program to train and test Liquid and Solid Snake in the "Present". Right before going against the real Big Boss in a remastered Metal Gear.
@@joeydarko4354 that’s pretty much what metal gear solid 1 was for raiden since he did the shadow moses vr training
That's what phantom pain should have been. Playing as Big Boss as he built outer heaven and his transformation from following the Boss' original ideals to the bad guy he became in the original metal gear. Sadly I dont think that game will ever be made
40:03 - 40;04 IF you look closely you can notice Venom going in the chopper, and you know its him as besides snake he is the only one with a canteen and a napsack on his rear waist. even in TPP
venom is the medic yo
I love your work, mate. Already watch MGS3 and MGS4.
I'm wainting for this Extended Cut on 1080p, but thumbs up for your talent (and patient) :3
Damn, those tapes... dark as hell ;s
Gosh, Skull Face speaks hungarian at 1:09:11, i'd recognise it anywhere, that's my mother tongue. He said: "Take him to his cage.."
You should register at mgsforums.com. :D
Just imagine how much we would've been in the dark if it weren't for those few awesome japanese people who translated the whole Ground Zeroes information a year ago.
They should of left this game as part of MGSV The Phantom Pain, for a Prologue Chapter before Chapter 1. They would've made it better!
My thoughts exactly
They should have, but "Konami".
Definitely would have been better than that drawn out hospital scene.
That Medic in the chopper, they're purposely hiding his face.
That's you as Venom Snake in Phantom Pain right? (Explaining the avatar customization).
Yep.
But in my opinion - they should've put a mask on his face, as they did in Paz flashback sequence in TPP
I think there is an actual model for him in GZ
I love this so much lmao especially when he gave up on the sneaking and decided to run and gun. Felt like a movie!
is that a deus ex fan I see? (hinting at your profile pic)
I think it would have been a nice touch adding more snake animations reacting to the tape, like nodding his head to Paz's catchy theme song.
But on the other end, I wouldn't expect Big Boss to react much anyway.
Kiefer Sutherland as Big Boss was amazing.
It wasn’t bad, but it still should have been David Hayter
I don't know, David Hayter's voice sounded too similar to solid snakes. I kind of like this.
@@ajward9112no. Thank god it wasn’t
24:13
Rat: I got you bro.....I'll lead the way...
I just realized that right after you rescue Kojima in the Intel Operative mission, he’s sitting in the chopper with you and at the Mission Select screen, let the screen sit idle for a few seconds and he’ll flick the screen as if spinning a wheel to suggest a mission for you.....
Keifers voice suits big boss so well
I was hoping he would use a balloon to extract Chico like in Peace Walker!
"Did he leave the tape recording on?"
"Must be near the heliport."
"...A Gate?"
We get it, Navi. Stop giving him the answers.
Kiefer Sutherland is perfect for Big Boss's voice acting. He's got the gruff tough guy voice that Big Boss is.
Makes you realise how horrifying war is
Mgsv is secretly brilliant and the music is amazing
41:16, be careful who you are pushing Kaz
Cant believe some humans have moments like in those tapes.
+Equalitas some of the stuff was very difficult to listen to
+Equalitas C'est la vie.
Is this game a true story?
No, but there are ppl that suffer like this
+itsErratics Yes. It's real........Metal GEAR!!!
Basically easy way to sum up mgs ground zero into small sentence is: it’s a small flashback of what happened to snake & you in mgsv that put you into the hospital.
Very good editing! That whole last section was a nice touch!
Metal
Your editing work is phenomenal, the way you seamlessly integrate gameplay with cutscenes tells the full story of the game while cutting out the fluff. Seriously, thank you for this, it must have been an enormous effort.
You can tell the guy in the heli when paz 'dies' gets the full impact of the explosion, including the shrapnel lodged in the brain, not talking about big boss either, but the guy in front of him protecting him from the blast.
Im not even a metal gear fan but damn this game made feel things
That song will live in my heart rent free
One like, one fiddle.
1 Comment = 1 piano
I honestly can't wait to see you do Phantom Pain.
8:07 it almost feels like he broke the fourth wall...
Thanks for the well job man, watched all the peace walker, MGS4 and now Ground Zero, got say it...the tapes have some very deep content, but it just make the game looks even more amazing in my opinion.
This and Phantom Pain are so dark, but I like that the game took a dark, serious tone.
We are being reprogrammed to hate Big Boss after experiencing the "Truth" scene and love Big Brother; the real Big Brother being the narrative pushed by the Patriots.
what a great read
I hate to think where the other bomb could have been. A place no one would look
You’ll find out.
@@donkeykongisytpooping3002 ? I was referencing where it was.
The way you play, the way you move your left and right Analog to see the surroundings, the angle, awesome dude ! its like watching first minute gameplay in E3.
"Kept you waiting huh?" - I think that was Kojima speaking to his MGS fans.
I loved the fact that you let yourself spotted at 31:28 while extracting Paz
The alert music is such a banger💥
I love how Kojima set this up... You can see Snake's mouth move when he says "It's alright we got that one out too" from TPP
Bro! 😱😪😭😭😭
Just found this and can't wait to buy and play. It's never too late on any metal gear solid.
Here's to you Nicola and bart rest for every in our hearts the last and final moment is yours that agony is your triumph
DUN HUN Can't stop listening to it
Mgs4 version is the best!
Rain eh, little overdone with the wailing singing but just my opinion lol.
***** ah I think it sounds incredibly powerful
Rain But we can definitely agree that epilogue was something huh?
Merci pour ta traduction, je vais (enfin) me faire plaisir sur MGSV dans de bonnes conditions, j'avais besoin de l'histoire du prologue.
Un grand merci pour les 2 séquences de cette vidéo
It's bullshit they sold this at 30-40$. It's like selling the Tanker chapter in MGS2 but then sell the Plant chapter separately a year and a half later. This should've been a mission in the main game. At least you can buy it as part of the "Definitive Experience" bundle thing now.
thank you for helping me remember all the details of the last few games. your edits were awesome
53:01 epic trailer.
Indeed. In fact, for me this one was the trailer that elevate to the skyes the hype of TPP. But sadly, TPP was very dissapointed in terms of narrative. GZ was way more epic that TPP
Thanks so much for your vids bud, I never played PW nor GZ and I needed context now that I'm playing TPP. Kudos and keep it up. "You are pretty good".
This game is the best game I have ever played
even in ground zeroes, kaz seemed way more pissed about motherbase getting blown up than even big boss was.
The intro is a masterpiece.
Very well done, man
This upload is MOST appreciated!
They played us like a damn fiddle
Been saying since the beginning that David Hayter still should have voiced the real Big Boss. Kiefer was good, but having David portray the real BB would have been epic.
Like Kiefer Sutherland or not, when I first played the game and heard that old familiar "kept you waiting, huh", it still gave me chills. I still think he did an awesome job with the voiceover as the older Big Boss, it's sad that David Hayter wasn't given a chance to be in the game, but Keifer was an excellent choice as an alternative for older Big Boss.
Man there were about 5 missions in mgs 5 that had the quality of ground zeroes :(
the only time u play as big boss in MGS V
+Leon JO What?
+Leon JO Wrong.
+Avarice he's right lol
MannYSJ You play Big Boss in other MGS games. MGS 3. MGS Peacewalker.
You don't just play Big Boss in MGS V.
So, unless he miss-wrote his comment, or meant something else, no, MGS 5 isn't the only game you play as Big Boss.
Avarice read his comment again. He said this is the only time you play as big boss IN mgsv. Not IS mgsv
Big Boss may have given Chico the one he used in Peace Walker.
Actually the events of TPP is in 1984 not 1974
But (MGS5) Ground Zeroes is in 1975
+michael flores Basically this.
I like the face of the medic.
Great work looking forward to your Phantom Pain movie as well
Good infiltration but your extraction was perhaps the least subtle ever !
Great job - will be back when the HD option has finished filtering through!
amazing how mgs has remained top-notch quality over the years. every game has added something new to the series. it's not like other game series that hit a peak, then go downhill like splinter cell or cod.
i've been waiting for this one sooooo long!!! :D thanks man!
before I commit to watch, does this contain all the paz & chico tapes?
yes
elviade yeah what the fuck is the deal with these endless torture/rape sequences? They fetishize the whole thing. who decided five tapes is a good number?
wolfumz War holds a ton of dark secrets. This shit happens all over.
