- Ardbeg, Laphroaig & Octomore are probably some of the best whisky coming from Islay. However there are a plenty of amazing whisky from Islay and in this weeks video we are going to have a chill conversation about our best Islay whisky.
After working in one of Islay's best whisky distilleries and living on the Island for over a year we thought this would be a fun subject for todays video

@@ardview-vanlife I absolutely love the 100% Islay from Kilchoman. The Corryvreckan from Ardbeg is fantastic. Outside Islay, the 18 year old Arran and their Amarone cask finish are great! I recently tried Wolfburn's Aurora and I found it excellent too. Merry Christmas with health and happiness for all!!

Lagavulin 16 will always be my favourite - the 16 was my gateway into peated scotch! It’s my favourite distillery! I adore Ardbeg and Laphroaig! Kilchomen is also delicious!
There isn't a bad dram from Islay 😆 I think Laga is a gateway seated whisky for many people 😁

Laphroaig just hold dear to my heart it was my first love of peated whisky its really the distillery that got me into single malt scotch. All your choices here are just spot on

Aw great, all the distilleries are tip top so you will not be dissapointed.
My favorite from Islay is the cask strength Lagavulin 12. Second, the Ardbeg Kelpie.

My favorite is also the Lagavulin distillers edition on par with Kilchoman Marsala.

We really loved this video guys!!💖👏🏼 You should definitely do more videos about whisky!🥃( More fun to film whiist drinking too!) We really loved the Octomore 10yo 167ppm sample you gave us, sadly can't find it to buy anywhere!😫 My other favourite was Bunnahabhain handfill 1999 Amontillado Finish. I'm still waiting for a special enough occasion to open that bottle! Didn't know Caol Ila did an unpeated version. Their new visitor centre looks great, reminds us of The Johnnie Walker experience in Edinburgh & some other refurbed Diageo-owned distilleries we've visited. Will need a trip back to Islay now that's reopened. Also, love your dress Roksana!😍

hi there you live in your van full time on islay ?? yes ive seen your van a few times iam there over xmas be nice to meet up
We have been living on Islay for almost a year and a half but in the van full time for about 7 months or so. We are now hitting the road with the van for a bit. Going to do some traveling so unfortunately won't be on the island over Christmas. Would have been great to meet.

I first heard of Laphroaig whisky in the Inspector Banks police procedural novels by Peter Robinson in 1987. It was his favourite whisky until he was attacked and his cottage set on fire, oh, 20 years or so later. I asked a snooty waiter once how to pronounce it. I asked him to repeat it and he did so rather snootily so I still don’t know. 😅 I don’t drink much anymore but I would make an exception just to try the whisky that starts with an L.
